Nico Williams

Horatio

You're welcome
He picked Bayern over Barca cause he knows competition at barca is tougher.

Have said in posts long time ago think he knows he might fall a bit short of level needed at barca.

I'm one of the few who has some issues with him. First, I don't like his personality. Him bending the knee to CR7 at half time of a final is such a p*ssy move. You need to be focused on the match, not kissing the a** of your main competitor. Second, he is not really some major difference maker for Athletic Bilbao. He's a great player, but I would argue that his brother Inaki has a far greater legacy for Bilbao than Nico. Actually, I would argue that with Inaki signing for us back in 17/18 we would've won that 2019 CL.

I would put Leao or even Rashford more attractive options than him (considering everything including the potential massive cost of signing Nico).

Horatio trying his best to get a W here lol.

It couldn't be he didn't want to play in Spain against his beloved club.

It couldn't be that he wanta more money.

Nah it's he doesn't think he's good enough for Barca 😂.

He's already showed he's good enough for la Liga and showed he can compete against the best in Europe if his manager isn't named mister.

What he's scared of raph?

A bit sus we are only hearing this argument for the first time now.

What happened to he would love to play with Lamine?

I'm sure they would both love it.

But he rejected the move last year, for a few reasons and they club decided not to go back for him.

But he certainly didn't choose to not come because he thinks he's a bit short of the level required for Barca.

Yes it’s a factor.

But If Nico knew he would be starter at barca 100% he would pick barca.

The few more millions at bayern would make 0 difference.

Barcelona wanted Nico last year because Raphinha was on his way to Saudi without Flicks intervention.

Thats why he isn't here.

Regarding Nico.

So, we have the guy named Fermin. I understand that he and Nico play in different systems, but the fact that Fermin is a midfielder and still not a guaranteed starter, while Nico is a winger and a regular in the starting XI, somewhat balances out the difference in playing systems.

Now, if I’m not mistaken (too lazy to double-check, I looked at the numbers about a week ago), Fermín seriously outperforms Nico in almost all basic and advanced statistical metrics.

What Nico does offer is decent pace (though he’s not in the top 10 fastest players at the top level), and some dribbling ability.

That said, it’s curious that his dribbling success rate has dropped significantly this season. In La Liga, it’s around 40%, and in the Europa League, a bit below 50%.

He wants €15 million gross. For comparison, Fermín makes around €5 million.

I’m not saying Fermin is a direct alternative to Nico — they’re different types of players.

But if we’re signing a winger for a solid fee and 15 mln salary, he needs to offer much more on the ball than Nico. Much more.

Not sure he'll be a starter in Bayern. Think he picked the wrong league to join.
