UEFA coefficients are calculated over 5 year intervals. The Ligue 1 of 5 years ago is not the Ligue 1 of today. Their outperforming Germany in European competitions over the last two seasons should be evidence of that.

Some of you truly dig your heads in the sand to avoid crediting a league you don’t even watch. It is very strange.

Germany had the slightly better co efficient last season so France has only out performed them this season.

Monaco are not the team of last season but you try to add them to argument anyway.

They’re a stronger club, and have been more successful, than Roma or Hoffenheim. Those are the 3rd placed teams in Italy & Germany currently.

As I’ve said before, you should watch more football before speaking out of ignorance.

Yet Roma got to the semi finals of CL this season.... that means little though doe it?

However French teams getting to semis of Europa is a sign of quality according to you.

Monaco would not have won a title in same league as Juve anyway so another awful point from you.

One season defines a clubs strength now? Does that mean Chelsea is no longer a top English side, despite their general level of success?

Yes the strength of that club this season is defined by them across this season. Well worked out.

Roma been better than Monaco.

Chelsea have not been a top side in England this season. Again well worked out.

Monaco is like an inferior version of 2004 Porto. Porto sold their team in 2004 and from then on they never reached the same level. So, of course that today's Monaco is a completely different team than the one from last season. Just like you couldn't use the 2004 level of Porto to big them up in 2006 when they were mostly irrelevant in Europe.

So, stop using Monaco as if this is 2016-2017. The current Monaco team was an embarassment in Europe this season. And this is the level we're talking about.

This season?

Yip City been by far the best and had to work hard to be that much better than rest.

Well worked out again.

If the EPL is a one team, non competitive league, you should shut your mouth about Ligue 1. Continuing to bash it for being as uncompetitive as your own league makes you a hypocrite.

Now you can see the future, just to avoid admitting Monaco is a strong club?

That level of stubbornness makes you an embarrassment to yourself.

City have done that in a league with four other teams in last 16 of CL, three in QFs and one in semi/final.

PSG do it in a league where getting to semi finals of Europa league is seen as a mark of quality.

Nothing hypocritical in slightest and not even remotely similar. Poor effort.

The EPL is an uncompetitive, one team league. You said so yourself. No need to go into it any further.

No. I'm seeing the present. The present campaign of Monaco in Europe was an embarassment, and certainly not very good for the image of Ligue 1. Having only 1 team count in CL and even that thanking hard in Last 16 against a way off form Madrid.

Monaco is not a strong club. A strong club doesn't sell half the team at the first sign of success.

No I said this season City were by far the best season and had to work hard to be that much better.

Awful effort from you if think that is same as teams in league that dominate against inferior teams almost every season.

As I said nothing similar and no La Liga and EPL are not 'one team leagues' as one side dominated them against other strong sides.

Keep up.

In the present, Madrid was not strong domestically. I guess that means they aren’t a strong Spanish side, and Barcelona has nothing to worry about as far as competition is concerned in Spain. Because a clubs strength is defined by a single season, and nothing else.

Marseille defeating Atletico in the final would look good for the image of Ligue 1.

Except Monaco was until not long ago in the 2nd french division. So much for your strong club. Any comparison with Madrid / Barca is lol worthy.
