Don't know why people dismiss penalty goals. Penalties are not guaranteed goals, you still need to score them. Memphis has scored 8/8 penalties for Lyon (and 1/2 for NT) this season. Messi has scored 7/10 and the rest of our team are 3/7 in "regular" penalties and we've also scored only 2/5 in penalty shoot-outs against Sociedad in Supercopa.
Also, couldn't care less about his pass success rate. It would improve here in a different system playing more shorter passes and also not being the one player trying to create the most chances and taking more risky passes. I don't care about possesion % in general. We've had 80% possession in two games this season and guess what, we've lost both.
Barca is the only team in the world capable of doing that because we're the only team "stupid" enough to push for that high (mostly sterile) possession against teams sitting back and then giving away easy chances and goals 2-3 times per game opponents actually get into our half.
