The thing is, even if he has a great season and Barca win stuff, it's still a risk buying him outright.

He's downed tools and reverted back to poor a couple of times before. And we can't overlook he has no international tournament to motivate him in 2027, unlike 2026.

A special season would tempt Barca to buy him outright (funds permitting), but even that could be a risk. Same goes for a lot of players, though.
