Most of the details are in now and my God, did they get cooked lmao United paying zero of his wages, player took reported 15-25% paycut, we had to pay a loan termination fee of 5mil if we don't pay a 30mil buyout. Cherry on top- he's injured.

How the fuck did they manage to get cucked into an awful deal for a player who has been in awful form, is hated by his fans and has a club that has been doing everything they can to get rid of him. I'm literally laughing out loud right now.

I KNOW it's just a loan, but most of us agreed Rashford is not an ideal signing or loan, but he could be useful under Flick and worth a punt under the RIGHT conditions. Conditions that were favorable to us since United didnt want him and we are poor.

The reality is Laporta and Deco got absolutely cooked, so embarrassing. Again, I've said from last season that we would still be poor and expected a loan for a player like Rashford being what we would have to settle for, but that deal is laughably bad. Legit cackling to myself.

I suspect the coach wanted him in before the season begins for faster adaptation. Hence, little room for financial maneuver. But the critics of this deal are forgetting a very important detail. Rashford came in knowing that there could be registration issues. Given we are in acute need of a forward back-up with the registration issue being a thorn in our plans, which other player of better/similar quality and costing less for a year would be willing to join us? Names pls.

14 mil. + penalty + bonuses for a troublesome player. Injured.

Hey, at least dumb bitch brought the phone booth. Only 2 faggots from Barca TV missing and that whale Helena Condoms.

Never pay attention to English players..like that gawky looking Cole Palmer everyone's going gaga over. I know he's good but I wouldn't care to know what's his best quality. Nothing can get me to watch them with a keen eye.

What a weird paragraph.

He gets the salary we can afford to pay. If he had reduced it further 2-3m, would that really affect the rest of the squad building? We also pay 0m loan fee. Bayern paid 8.5m for Coutinho for example.

The options on the market are scarce currently. At best we can go for an unproven player who won't provide anything useful for 1-2 years, and I don't even know who that would be.

We have to believe in him to succeed because if he does, all these issues go away for 30m. If he doesn't we can start from scratch in our look for a new player next season. At least we have gotten a player who most likely will fetch us some goals, probably a bigger amount than any available youngster out there. Not everything is long term.

I agree. I certainly could have rephrased it better. But switching between languages and multi-tasking isn't always easy. I also understand that such a predicament is not relatable for everyone.

What?

You're a bit of a strange one, aren't you?

At this point it's just pointless to argue whether he is overpaid or not. If he can bring much needed forward depth and help us rest our best players meanwhile scoring and assisting here and there, I'd say he has been succesful addition to our squad.

Again with the paycuts? Why would he sign on a reduced salary when he has a contract with MU until 2027?

Same way Ansu and Lenglet extend their contracts to be on a lower wage annually.

If we sign Rashford he will be on longer than the one year he is left on in 2026, in exchange for a longer contract.

The penalty clause is the loan fee for the season. Joao Felix was 6m for example. I think Chelsea paid 12m for his 6 months from Atleti a few years back too.

It's structured as a penalty clause so it doesn't hit the books this window. Simply.

I understand this, but we couldn't give a guarantee to Nico because we couldn't afford his moderate salary that was rumored due to registration difficulties. Then we loan Rashford and pay the majority of his huge wages? I thought huge wages were the roadblock? If it isn't a roadblock, why weren't we looking at way more options? Him simply being okay with maybe not getting registered doesnt make it feel any better.

Like I said before, United basically had a foot up his ass to kick him out. The deal is bad, very bad. Why even rush to get him now, he's still injured anyway 🤦‍♂️
