Man Utd's are very Real Madrid esq with the way they have power over the media in the UK. You could definitely argue that that power extends to the F.A and referees as well. The UK media are very pro Utd, so it's not surprising he is getting a raw deal there.
But that's good for us. Marcus needs the stick more than the carrot. A player who is so difficult to motivate, and the UK media and Utd fans in general are doing a fine job motivating him for us. Marcus is at his best when he needs to prove a point. He is motivated by wanting to shove people's words down their throat. In contrast, the UK media blew smoke up Jude's arse and he has been terrible ever since.
The worry, of course, is that once he proves his point, he goes back to being unmotivated and lazy. We need to be mindful of that if he does well, when it comes to the buyout.
Everything is set up here for him to succeed. Great club, great attacking manager, change of scenery, point to prove, haters to mud. He is in the last chance saloon at a top club. Fail here and he is finished, and he knows it.
