I think they fail ultimately because they create nothing. They recklessly refortify with routine squad overhauling coupled to a coaching carousel with no discernible identity or sporting progression

They spend because they generate revenue but not profitable nor with any coherent sporting strategy

They’ll have the odd run of success but they are far from the club they think they are or even used to be
Indeed. Said it before that they are finished as a club.

'Erik ten Hag endured a nightmare start to life as Bayer Leverkusen manager as his side lost 5-1 to Flamengo U20s.'

Even named a strong side, lol

was surprised too about this result

but think we should judge him after the first half of the season

A lot of hype around JJ Gabriel but the standout youth I’ve noticed in UK is Dowman from Arsenal - very different profile from typical English midfielder

Would be amazing if the shiny new toy fails and looks as bad as Hojlund. Mbeumo and Cunha too. I wouldn't rule it out either. I am not just saying this as he's joined them (cos I praised Cunha and Mbeumo) but Sesko has always given Bundesliga flat track bully aura.

These cunts are doing something very dodgy to be able to afford these players with all their debt, no European football, few sales etc.

Completely rebuilt there attack.

A bit surprised sesko went there TBH, now he's stuck for at least 3 years..

If they get that kid from Brighton they could push for top 4, assuming everything clicks

Big assumption. Huge If.

See what I said in another thread before - often football fans assume things when new players sign, then they find out those new toys aren't as good as they thought they were.

They could do well, but strong chance all three flop too. Plus they still have the massive problems of their defence and goalkeepers being wank, and of Fernandes not being a midfielder and their midfield being awful and unable to control a game.

It's very rare clubs go from 15th to top 4. And there's plenty better teams than them, even with these signings.

Mbuemo and Cunha don't look like players who will step up in a bigger team, like Raphinha did for us. They look like average big fish in a small pond kind of players.

Not much improvement over what they already had.
They are good players but yeah - they give the impression of just being steady at best rather than helping a team really transform.

Flops are Garnacho and Holjund, no way their new attackers can ever be that bad but you already knew you're spewing hatred under false pretenses.

If they get Baleba and fire Hamorim before it's too late then they have a chance.

Not hatred - they're obviously far better players than Garnacho and Hojlund, and flop is a bit of an exaggeration but it wouldn't be the first time they signed good on paper players who didn't get them as high as they hoped. They have a track record of it happening and given how often it happens it's a bit weird to act like it's strange to think it could happen. But I see people are falling for shiny new signings again before they've even kicked a ball.

I did acknowledge they could do well too. I think top four is fanciful, though.

Why do you have to be confrontational? I do not have a problem with you and enjoy talking to you.
Good players for midtable clubs, but not for what United want to become, even though currently, even midtable is an improvement for them
I do rate both a lot, but there's several red flags. However, I am not gonna write them off. They could do well. But people saying those two and Sesko and they have a chance of top four seems like thinking on paper attackers can cover all the issues in their squad which I have highlighted. Like you say, I feel 8th or 9th is the max. If it goes tits up - as it could at that joke of a club - they could end up 15th again, lol.

But who knows, maybe United will surprise us and have a great season.
