Nothing wrong with this, but- glasner is a very good coach, so are the likes of iraola, de zerbi and others.
But they're built for being at clubs who bloody the nose of the clubs who win league titles. Clubs who can be a real threat in any given game against man city (brighton just got a draw away at man city for example) or arsenal, but will never win the title itself over the course of 9 months, as theyre too inconsistent. The elite clubs tend to win the title other than outliers like leicester, denmark, greece
Lots of coaches do well at smaller environments, but that is different from doing well at man city, real madrid, barca, liverpool, arsenal or bringing man united back into contention for pl titles as they were from 1992.
This is what Birdy doesn't understand - being a very good coach at a smaller, second-tier club often does not translate to a top tier club. Here and there it might happen, but it is becoming increasingly rare in the ultra capitalist modern football.
That's why when he goes on about Poch, Iraola, Glasner etc - it is fair enough, in the sense that they're respectable quality coaches who should be taken seriously (well poch was). But they aren't Fergusons, Busbys. Shanklys, Guardiolas, Klopps, Herreras, Mourinhos, Sacchis, Cruyffs, Michels who will build a legacy and win all the big titles in the game. If Glasner for example was that, he'd already be at an 'elite club' by now - given the current 'scout coaches young' climate. But actually he's 51 already.
