In saying all this, I have them down to win 2-1 today, lol. Though I looked at Burnley's squad and it looks better than it did last time they were here - Jaidon Anthony and Marcus Edwards look like they can cause problems for them, and they have Kyle Walker at the back who has lots of experience and they have that Hartman guy at left-back who could be good.

Some of the players they have signed have been poor players, other have been good and ruined.

Even among the three you mentioned; I rate Cunha and Mbeumo, but I have never rated Sesko and think he was poor scouting. But yes, it's hard to tell how much is poor players and how much is them making the players worse.

Agreed with that. Haven't seen much of Sesko but Gyok always looked to me the better move.

They just went big on improving the forward line this summer which isn't a bad thing, but their midfield is well, mid.

Defense can be worked on systematically even if it has been shocking so far.

Midfield is indeed mid. I only really rate Yoro from their defenders, but good point - defence is one area where it's more about organisation and drilling, probably the main area where even if a player lacks talent he can be taught to be organised, read the game better etc,

In midfield and up front, there's no hiding place: if you are an attacking player who cannot score, dribble, pass or create or head, you have problems. Equally, if you are a midfielder who cannot pass and cannot control the game, there is nowhere to hide.

Obviously both their goalkeepers are absolutely terrible too. To the extent some of them want Tom Heaton to play today

They want that Standard Liege keeper, who obviously I haven't watched outside youtube, but he looks like a standard goalkeeper. But I guess that is what they need. But for them, again, it is just about having a good goalkeeper now who can bear the pressure.

I wonder how good Onana would be in a lesser side though. I been watching him since the Barca Juvenils and he is a wonderfully talented goalkeeper with the obvious overplaying and clangers in him. Someone who could have been a world class shotstopper if he cleaned up his clangers and matured in his distribution. Which he never did at United of course. But again, I wonder if it is more about not being able to operate at the pressure level of a club this size, and that he would be very good going to a lesser PL club.

Yeah Lammens, had seen they were linked to him. I know absolutely nothing about him, but if he isn't a clown and is a steady Eddie he's already an upgrade on Onana and Bayindir they way they're playing. They can't expect to bring in a worldie.

What's so funny about them is they bring in players who have new signing sheen and they think they're gonna be world beaters - then two years later they're world beaters lol. This Lammens guy could be the same in 2027, let's hope so hahaha.

I normally agree with you on football, but I don't see wonderful talent in Onana. Think is saving technique is poor and distribution (long, at least) wildly overrated. He can make the odd amazing save which I assume is what you mean by saying he has a lot of talent. You could be right that it's a mentality issue. On the other hand, he could just be poor. It's very hard to say when a player is at United, as you say. I do remember watching a video of his clangers at Ajax and Inter too though so maybe the red flags were there.

Nice goal, but bolded is a clown and cost them a point with his shirt pulling.

I don't think Edwards came on at all. Not sure why not.

How to rebuild Utd

1. Get a competent Sporting Director
2. Get Michael Carrick as manager
3. Sell Bruno to Saudi for big money and get Wharton
4. Sell Onana at all cost and get Dibu Martinez
5. Trust the youth
6. Play 4-3-3

If general public in Manchester is anything like Redcafe crowd represents (thought it was working class city), then it's no wonder their club went dodo.
Ped is my favorite tube pundit. He get shit right and articulates like i would do. Their lack of core english players, who lead the team is like allegory of what England itself has become.

They should have hired Flick back when he was available. Not too late to get someone similar

Someone who will make players run like pigs. It does well for mentality, which is what United needs to solve. Defense is shit should just focus on getting the most out of some quality they have upfront,(Cunha, Mbeumo, Sesko, Amad)

Plus blitz football would probably do well in the PL. But only Laporta had the balls to hire him after Germany stint... and it paid off
