It was very disrespectful to the legacy of the 2015-16 Barcelona team to go out to Atletico Madrid in the quarter finals. Nothing will ever convince me that Barcelona wasn’t the best team in Europe that season. In 2015-16, Barcelona was the best team in Europe and with the exception of the disastrous April, we were destroying teams week in week out. Best team Barcelona produced after the treble and even 2024-25 Barcelona is not close. It’s 2015-16 and then 90 levels down 2024-25 Barcelona.

Mister can return after Flick leaves.
Wouldn't step foot here with the way he sees how Laporta and co are managing this club.

Why would a coach who manages a top team and has liberty to make any transfers and build a team leave to come here and have to deal with clown management be stuck with players like Araujo or Kounde who have contracts until 2030 and beyond?

Didn't he say he would come back? I hope he does.

We'll just need a few tweaks, mainly a mobile 9 & CB. Both of which while sign this summer anyways, he might one 1 FB.

But he'd love the options we have in midfield & on the wings

Watch him replace Pep at Man City now

It just makes sense.

Obviously something is happening behind the scenes with Man City's reps talking to different managers like Maresca, but it's probably all a smokescreen for their real target which is Lucho.

If anyone is thinking long term we need to "reserve" Lucho when he leaves QSG. If he goes to City or somewhere like that it could be years before he becomes available again. He said multiple times he wants to return, the only question is the timing. Hope he stays at QSG at least until 2027, by then Flick will probably be out.

The question is if someone like Pep or LE would ever want to go back to normal football management after spending years in limitless FM mode.

It would be quite stressful I'd imagine, going from a role where you can grab any toy to fill a player void bi-annually to then go a club like Barca and face both our entorno and zero transfer budget, 95% La Masia reliant.

Pep wouldn't but Lucho said he would, why wouldn't we believe him?

In a couple of years we shouldn't be in this kind of financial situation anyway but that's far from sure. Our default state is also close to "limitless FM mode", we shouldn't be broke forever.

I am curious if he would consider a move to City, risk suffering the neverending comparisons with his teammate & friend? It would be the easy/logical choice

Can't say I would be able to guess with him, he really is unique

United job probably makes more sense than Liverpool or City.

Chance to turn around biggest club and brand in the country after years of struggling and they’ll definitely be looking for a new manager.

Would be a huge coup for United to get him and for Lucho if he manages to be first successful post saf manager there.
