Luis Diaz only left because he was on a seriously low wage compared to other top players at the club and he wanted triple what he was earning along with a 4 year deal. Liverpool could see he's past his peak already - In a couple of years you wouldn't get 30 million for him.

He was on 120K, which is way down on their top earners list. Many of Liverpool's top earners are on 250K, or close to, a week. He's getting considerably more at Bayern. It will be his last major contract (in Europe) considering he's almost 29 so money was the biggest factor for this move.

Had Liverpool also offered him a 4 year contract and doubled his wage there's not a chance he would have left for Germany.

Why do you know? Germany and bayern is a much more beautiful place to live than in england. You have sun, mountains and better weather here and a bigger club. They're not rare at all if you stay away from the major cities. Go to Bath, or York, and maybe you'll change your mind a little. I've lived in both countries and there's very little difference. I'd say in general Germany is a bit more cleaner, but it's not like it doesn't have it's nastier parts.
