Can you imagine that ppl criticised him for not picking Spain when he was younger and underachieving at Argentina. But all I have to say that all that and the journey was worth it, between 2021 and 2024, Argentina won the World Cup, 2 Copa Americas and the Finalissima. True footballing dynasty.

After saying that and thinking a bit about. There's really good ground why Messi is eligible for this adoration. I generally dislike celebrity cults, where people become enamored by this or other guy, because they were manufactured just right to incept in your brain that you should worship this person and his "art".

Messi seems so genuine and off the cuff at all times. He could as well be some random factory worker, if he didn't have the chops at footballing. And he acts like such. For all his career. He just doesn't care for fame and he hasn't contracted Devil to uplift his fame and riches. He did everything on his own fueled by sheer genius and is living peaceful mundane life with his wife and kids. A rare personality, where at least on the surface, you don't see big money had influence on his mental/spiritual being.
A perfect hero of modern times, where we mostly don't have any great role models, at least not in the jewish controlled media. He's just so big and superior that he doesn't need any marketing. Most people see his greatness for what it is unfiltered.

We hit the jackpot of the lifetime with him. It's incredibly rare to see a guy of his immense talent to just focus only on football, be professional for 2 decades, be a genuine team member, has true self-confidence about himself and not really caring much about fame. There's a reason why the Argentine players are willing to win the WC for him rather than themselves. Sometimes Messi doesn't realize that he is Messi.

For someone with his fame, stuff like this is incredible to see

Best midfielder around
Although the refs made Miami lose the game, the GOAT a magisterial pass and an incredible goal to help the team that should have won them the game.

We go again next week

MLS works in a weird way with those best of three playoff games, where the goals don’t matter at all. They should win the third one at home, but Cincinnati, and if they win that round, Philadelphia, will be very difficult. They have a tough path, as those teams are the only ones that finished ahead of them and they have to beat both just to get to the final. Don’t know how it works, but I also guess they will only have one home game vs. two away in those rounds.

I thought Miami won because aggregate 4-3 ??
Aggregate score does not exist in MLS.

Even if a team wins 100-0 in the 1st game but loses 1-0 in the next game, they still have to play the 3rd game for the decisive game.

Team needs to win the 1st 2 games to avoid the 3rd match and the team that is placed higher in the league gets to play the 1st and 3rd game at home.

This only applies to this round and the next round is a simple knockout stage (like the WC). Very weird MLS rule that will hopefully be changed later on.

That would explain why on flash score app you only see 1-0 & 0-1 results - crazy rule
