I think he settled in Miami, and might see it as a long term home.

I was hoping he would at least return to the city and let his kids be in La Masia, but this seems unlikely now. Thiago will be 16 by the end of that deal.

Messi got well established in Miami. I don't think post-career he'll move his whole family back to Barcelona for no reason, nor Argentina.
He always said he would return as soon as his playing career was over, but at the end of the day it will be his wife and kids that make that decision. I hope we get to see him back at the club one day in some kind of role or position. Not as the manager, president etc., obviously, but he could be a brilliant assistant or attacking coach. Just his mere presence alone would contribute enormously and motivate players. I can’t imagine that he will just retreat completely from the spotlight and hide away in some mansion for the rest of his life. Haven’t really seen any players with his kind of status and fame successfully do that before.

Basta yaaaaaaa, Cabron ! y Bona nit 🥂
He will come back and be part of the Sporting Department. Not the main SD, but just a part. He can add a lot of value there closing deals on transfer targets and also identifying talents as his player judgement has always been good in the past.

Having him as a somewhat main figure amongst the off the field staff would be a disaster as the Madrid mob would start to blame him for everything and the Barca cucks would join in with them, as they are now with the Lamine hate.

The abuse directed at Xavi was disgusting enough, would not want to see the same happen with an even bigger Barca legend like Messi.

I was watching the first half of the 2009-10 UCL quarter final clash 2nd leg v Arsenal, all I have to say is that Lionel Messi delivered poetry in motion in that game, imagine going down 1-0 in front of your 95k fans in the stadium and you manage to score 3 goals in 14 minutes due to 1 man.

21' 37' 42' 88' the minutes of his goals.

21 minutes then. But I agree.
