The ball passes the body and is only stopped from hitting the goal from the arm. So some sort of unfair advantage has been achieved by the defender.

I get not giving penalties when arms are down as you encourage attackers to target the arm for easy pens.

So there needs to be a balance and logic to balls hitting arms, how and where.

About the first goal, I agree. I think the referee applied that inane rule where if the defender touches the ball it becomes second phase and the off side man, becomes onside. Another illogical rule as the only reason the defender tries to touch the ball is reacting off of the offside man in the first place.

France beat Spain 1-0 in the Nations League final a few years back through this rule. It even went to VAR. You can watch it on YouTube if you can't remember the goal. Completely illogical law. Especially in that case.
It was 2.1 the Spain vs France and it was not exactly like that. Cubarsi touched the ball later than Eric with Spain.

Pedri: “Honestly, there were some moments today that I didn’t understand, so I asked referee Hernández Hernández for an explanation. He told me we’d talk about it later inside, but he didn’t give me any answers. I believe the penalty was VERY CLEAR and should have also resulted in a RED card. These are things that probably won’t be discussed much today, but I think it’s important to address them and make it clear that, in my opinion, it was definitely a penalty.”

The funny part is that Real Madrid is destroying their own reputation. Most of the neutrals are seeing this robbery and are reacting. Real are known as the Scum today. Cheaters. They are only tarnishing their own image with these things and not going to Bdor event etc.

Champions!

As I said, titles are secondary - the main thing is to enjoy the game of your team.

Yes, at the end of the season we gave up especially badly in defense, but if we evaluate the quality of play in a comprehensive way, the season was a success.
I didn't miss a single match during the season, if I'm not mistaken.
One match was over, and I was waiting for the next one.

With all due respect to Xavi, in his last season (especially) I missed about 35-40% of the live broadcasts of matches, because I simply forgot the games. Then I would re-watch them on tape.

And once again - titles are just a nice bonus to a quality game.

He ruined both Xavi and Flick's CL ambitions.

Back to back.
He fucking did, should be first out - I'd actually keep everybody else (beside Lewa, but we're stuck with him), even give Martin a chance next season.

Anyway, fuck that - what a crazy game, we still suck first 20 minutes... but oh boy do we make up for it! Some of the best football I've seen when we're attacking and are in a mood!
