Yes as already been discussed.. when Barca went ahead FDJ went to CB in a back four as had to change it after the risks to win it.

I have watched the 2nd half again and 100% without doubt he was not playing CB in that second half. If anything was more advanced than usually is.

Except some of the images presented were at 1-1 and 1-2. The change was probably made at HT talks. Not only at 4-3 up.

Haha what you expect? Him never to track back?

I could give you images it looks like Inigo LW or Raphinha RB.

There was no change to make him CB. Didnt happen if anything he was more attacking.

Clearly went inot back four for final few minutes. Already been discussed.

Few minutes before when Pedri lost ball and they break..this was far more common than FDJ being at CB when Barca have ball.

Could claim from this and many other images FDJ played AM and Pedri deeper..

Can pick and choose moments.

Of course Barcelona don't play with a rigid system where everyone occupies CB position constantly. That was never said. At times during the 2nd half, De Jong occupied a CB role, in both goals conceded. And he fecked it up. Doesn't mean he played CB the whole half . The problem is that when he did, he fecked up twice and we conceded 2 goals.

Surely you can understand that when you play CB IN THAT SEQUENCE, and you are the last central player, you can't fuck up like that. That's what it's all about.

He absolutely was not dropping to mark CF when Barca had ball in final third as a set up from Flick.

Didnt happen at all and not a coach in world thinks that makes any sense.

Wasnt at CB for third... that is the issue..no one was.

FDJ was playing more advanced than normal if anything.

So? I blamed FDJ only for the moments he occupied a CB position and did a piss poor job at that.

Congratulations, you proved Barca play a fluid shape with many positional exchanges.

He wasnt at CB for the third..issue was no one was. and was absolutely not being set up by Flick to drop and mark while CBs went spare as you claimed. Absurd claim.

FDJ if anything played with more freedom to get forward in that second half.

You don't understand. He was CB in role, but not in practice or execution. Meaning he failed to perform his role adequately in that specific game situation.

No you dont understand.. he wasnt CB on the 3rd and covers at back for goal kicks.

Your claim he played there in second half as some tactic for him to mark CF and CBs to split is ridiculous. Clearly not how they played.

Basically you have reduced it down to he made an error on the first.. everyone agrees that.

On the third it is poor communication and it is the CBs responsibility to get back into THEIR position and Cubarsi was slow to do so in particular there.

Didn't look like we were saving energy mate.

I like your optimism though.

They were in a way.. Its a busy schedule.. Mid week Mallorca, then cup final on sathurday, then UCL semi final.. Better to fk up against Celta or Mallorca then Madrid/Inter.. But yes they are clearly tired wich isn't much of a suprise considiring they are playin non stop.

Great comeback but horrible defending and another nervy performance. Forwards need to find form again because we are so easy to score against.
Fermin has a lot of qualities but not good enough technically. Better with Olmo on, hope he can stay fit.
