Messi played ok so far. Only one think I didn't like.
He makes very few runs, and expects to receive the ball every time he does. That's not how it works. You make more runs and expect to receive the ball only about half the time. Not everybody plays for you.
Just make more runs in good attacking positions and you will be passed more.

Look, even there, only two runs in the box when Alba broke free: Coutinho and Braithwaite. Messi is very rarely there as an option. He usually arrives in the box only when there is a very slow and long build-up.
That's a major problem and playing like this will make sure he will have crap scoring numbers this season.
