Frenkie de Jong has fully recovered from his gastrointestinal issue and was the first player to arrive at the Ciutat Esportiva for today's training. @monfortcarlos

Spirit/attitude will be vital in a Clasico and under Flick, they have had it perfectly in all of the 5 encounters & wins. Difference here is that some of our more passionate players who understand it are not expected to start (Raphinha & Gavi) - but I suspect that even Marcus who has experience with derbies & big matches is being well informed by club & teammates that this is not like any other encounter

Normally Raphinha shouldn't start but the fourth attacker is such a big drop in level that he might actually start alongside Fermin, Yamal and Rashy. And we need a win here.
Raphinha did NOT come out to train today and left the Ciutat Esportiva just before his teammates begun their session on the field despite good sensations the days before. [@monfortcarlos]

Looks like he wanted to start in the Clasico too much....Let's hope it doesn't delay his return. Team has physical problems, runs according to reports 4km less than last season due to muscle fatigue, 6 players injured, Frenkie gastroenteritis yesterday.

I don't know, Clasico looks really bad now. Maybe Flick should play with 4 midfielders, try to slow down and control the game more. Invite the blancos to attack, try counters. Would definitely surprise Alonso, but it could also suprise us  .

That’s a cold bit of news on an already frosty start to autumn - lousy luck unfortunately

I like what Flick said the other day about the player and how important his absence has been to the team dynamic - he’s a spark plug in the first line of play with the ridiculous pressing alone, moreover he has shown up in every Clasico like a legend. You can’t cover for a loss like that

Players will need to step up and Flick & his staff must be aware that the pressing will require a lot of tactical discipline & effort to step up. Clásicos are different sauce

Lamine speaking about Madrid whining and cheating is true but counter-productive. Could only serve as motivation for those scum.

Kid really has a lot to learn. Club is failing at not addressing this

Guys we arent winning this. It's always easy to tell who will win leading into the game.

Raphinha injured
Frenkie sick
Barca whole team injured
Defense sucks

Vs

Real Madrid whole team available
Real Madrid getting PK or red every game
Real Madrid no negative stories

Yeah it's gonna be 3-1 RM

I am still a little surprised as to why our team is having so many physicaly struggles this season. We did not play CWC while other teams did. Something wrong with our training/fitness/diet/sleep routine or are these players softer than the ones in EPL and RM?

Injuries just happen. Small squad leads to a cascade effect of injuries

We are going to end up on the wrong side of an ugly scoreline here if Flick goes with the defense I think he will.
