Miliato was in line the exact moment the foul takes place,
and he is much faster than Oyarzabal, let alone he did not have to run with the ball.

0 chance Oyarzabal would have gotten 1v1 with the keeper after this.

Stop crying. Look at this angle – specifically at Courtois’s position – and then you’ll understand Monsano’s logic.

Correct. The position of Courtois made this a clear denial of a goalscoring opportunity and hence a clear red card.

But we know what happens when Madrid get a fair refereeing decision. All their supporters think they are being persecuted because they are so used to preferential treatment.

And then there are always some Stockholm Syndrome Barca fans who join in to agree with them to show how nobley 'neutral' they are, when infact they are showing just as much Madrid bias as our friend Nadaplete Maribor.

The fatigue is real. :lamine:

The call isn't supposed to interpret relative speeds of players, that's NOT how this works. Distances and angles sure, all other things being equal. If it's up to relative speeds of players, what, you never give a red card even if a defender fouls last man with say mbappe 10 yards behind as a theoretical defender? Or does the referee now have to figure how fast each player can run with stamina left?

Sure I agree that the attacker was never beating militao in real life but that is irrelevant.
