In his prime KDB:

Had the best final ball itw.
Best vision itw.
Best long shots itw.
Best crosser itw.
One of the highest Footy IQs itw.
One of the best set piece takers itw.
One of the best weak foot shots.
Good footwork.
Good at manipulating the ball.
Was strong, fast.
Hardworking off the ball.
Great at pressing.
Clutch.

How many midfielders in history have had this range of ability?

Don't care about team trophies. His individual ability and performances were that of the best midfielder in the world for 5/6 years. Easily an all timer.

I’m not disputing any of this, calm your tits down. My point still stands. “Man City” just won’t ever be a legendary team

I rate him very highly and agree he is one of the best midfielders of the last 30 years, but 'more match winning ability than Iniesta'...what extremely big games did De Bruyne match win in? Iniesta has been MOTM in Cl Finals, Euros finals, and scored the winner in the World Cup FInal.

Also, you prove (again) you have a very limited way of thinking about football, thinking the only way to be a matchwinner is to produce G/A or moments. You can be a matchwinner by controlling the game a la Xavi and completely making the opposition powerless to get a foothold in the game in the first place.

Agreed. Plastic sportwashing cunts.
Look up Littlewoods involvement with Liverpool. Or google the names John Henry Davies and James Gibson in relation to Man United.

Man City were the biggest club in Manchester up until about the 50s, and bailed United out loads of times. I don't like them but claims they have no history are very post 1992 coded.

Just as well he's been one of the best players of his generation and it's his leaving do or he'd be getting laughed at for that miss tonight.

To be fair, it was a bit behind him, was off the floor, on his 'weaker' foot (though his left is good) and he stumbled just before hitting it. But he's still gotta score that.

In general though, congratulations on ten years of excellent performances and trophies to a very, very special footballer.

He's already pretty well respected and highly rated universally. He was the best player in the best league in the world for many years. The PL was amazing when he was in his peak. He'll be remembered as the best player of the amazing Pep-Klopp era in the PL.

He's a different kind of midfielder. He's not a Barca style midfielder at all.

He has more match winning ability than Xavi, Iniesta, Modric, Kroos but can't control the game/tempo like they do. Plays further forward.

Absolute genius and can do stuff other players can only dream of.
More match winning ability than guys who won 4-6 CLs, WC, multiple Euros with MoTM performances and clutch goals.

Xavi and Iniesta are better big game players but KDB tends to win you more games with his individual brilliance over a league season or a large sample space because of his amazing final ball and shooting ability.

Like I said though, can you not win games before the moment by simply strangling the opposition and dominating the game even if you don't produce the moment for goals, like Xavi and Iniesta used to do in terms of running the show?

Not saying you're wrong or trying to provoke you, but surely it's another way to consider football?

That + Iniesta literally won the World Cup and CL with late winners so ridiculous to use that argument against him
