Another 2 goals and an assist for him in the match vs Inter.

Since today he has the most assists from all players in europe in this season.

Average player. Only looks good because he's playing on a team in great form. Firmino>>>>>>>>>>

De Bruyne is comfortably the 2nd best player in the Bundesliga at the moment and has transformed them from a midtable side to the 2nd best team in the country. He's completely dominating both the Europa League and BL atm.

Look, KDB is several levels above Firmino and it's not even close. That doesn't mean Firmino is a bad player or anything but come on.

Wait, who are these much better players in attack De Bruyne is playing with? Schurrle doesn't count since he joined in January and he was playing just as good even before he joined Wolfsburg. Are we really going to pretend Caligiuri, Bendtner, Dost, Olic, Perisic, Vierinha and Aaron Hunt are exceptional players? Their team is basically KDB and even WOB supporters won't pretend otherwise, virtually everything goes through him. He makes his teammates better.

Saying De Bruyne lacks pace smacks of complete and utter ignorance. He's extremely quick, arguably faster than Firmino.

12/13 De Bruyne 10 goals, 9 assists for Bremen Firmino 5 goals, 2 assists
13/14 De Bruyne 3 goals, 6 assists in half a season, Firmino 16 goals, 11 assists
14/15 De Bruyne 8 goals, 15 (!!!!) assists, Firmino 6 goals, 7 assists

As you can see it's not really much of a contest.

...

EDIT:

His last post was obviously sarcastic.

if so... awkward

It is because Mourinho does not have a long term plan. He does not look at his squad and thinks about developing anybody or thinking about how he could need this or that player in a particular situation late in the season.
If game 1 is ahead, he wants to win game 1. Then comes game 2 and so on. That is my impression at least.

He does not care if a 20 year old needs playing time to maybe become a world class player at 25. If Mou is not sure about him filling in the role he wants, he will play a 33 year old guy instead.
