This was fast. I was looking for Adeyemi's highlights on yt two days ago when we were first linked to him and there wasn't much to find and now here we have a 11-minute video.

He looks like an interesting and versatile player. I'd say he's faster than Fati, good technically and can score, it seems he also press well and tracks back though obviously this are just highlights so we don't know how he's really doing defensively but this shouldn't really be a focus with a 17 yo kid anyway. I don't see him as a future "9" though so he will probably mainly play on the wings which is not a bad thing as I've said we could use another winger for Barça B right now and if he can ever develop into a useful first team player in a few years even better.

Another thing is most of this video is him playing in counter attacks so we don't know how he would do against teams sitting deep with 8 or 10 players which he would face most of the times here. Fati has shown his abilities in tight spaces, there are some good moves here by Adeyemi as well but I'll need to watch him in some actual games to get a better judgement on this. Even with some unknowns/question marks I still think he's worth a risk if we can get him for a rumoured price of around 8M. I don't think Salzburg will give up on him easy though.

I agree. He has got a very good record too. 5 goals and 4 assists in 9 league games. 2 goals in two YCL games. However, I do not like the idea of bringing him to Barca B. Either loan right away or keep him in the first team.

According to Ferran Martinez Kluivert is interested in 17 years old German forward Karim Adeyemi who is playing for RB Salzburg's filial FC Liefering in Austrian 2. league where he has 5 goals and 4 assists in 9 games (and interestingly also 4 yellow cards which is a lot for a forward). He also added 2 goals in the first two games of UYL for Salzburg.

Don't know much about him but Red Bull (both Salzburg and Leipzig) have a great scouting network so going after their youngsters before they prove themselves at the bigger stage makes sense. Adeyemi is compared to Fati but he mostly plays as a "9" for his club. Problem is that Salzburg paid 3,5M to Unterhaching in summer 2018 and now wants around 8M which we consider too much at this point but it's still possible we'll make a move in January and bring him to Barça B. As I've said some time ago we could bring a winger for the B team with Fati and Perez both seemingly to stay with the first team and it looks the club is looking for alternatives. I'm sure Adeyemi won't be the only player we'll hear about over the next 2-3 months.

I don't know, he's still only 17 and if we would get him in January then playing for 6 months in Barça B would make sense imo. And then we could decide what do do with him depending on how he would do. He's now playing in Austrian 2nd league which is probably on around a similar level than Segunda B if not a bit better. And if we would keep him he could also train with the first team occasionally.

It's mostly just a clickbait unless a player is already officially signed by the club but those videos are usually made when first rumours emerge. There are tons of highlights videos of different players titled Welcome to Barça/insert random club name that is rumoured to be interested in a player. I'm surprised you didn't see this before.
