This kind of cherry pick stats happens to every player and can make them look bad. He's been helpful for Atleti this season and scored some important goals, and in some games stats don't paint the full picture
If we are speaking purely of his ability: he lacks in physicality and he doesn't have the pace of Mbappe and Haaland. But he is fantastic technically, he is very clinical and probably one of the most direct strikers in the world right now, if not the most direct. He often shoots from absolutely absurd angles and often turns them into goals or great chances, like vs RM in UCL last season. He is intelligent and he can give a good pass
He needs to leave Atletico as soon as possible, especially if they intend to keep Simeone for much longer. He has proven he can do solid in PL, but maybe La Liga is best for him. Problem is he is not worth the price Atletico asks for and everybody knows, so I don't know who will pay

Kane & Halaand, along Mbappe, are a league of their as no9. And one of them is old, with another one being debated on whether he is a CF or not. You can't make those the bar for comparison, it is a very exclusive club atm.
He is more in the bracket of Isak, Ekitike, Lautaro & Osimhen of the world.

Yeah. You can argue Julian is more of a second striker than a pure 9. I really don't fancy such a tiny player at that position. You'd have to be as amazing as Aguero to convince me.

I've seen a lot of ATM matches this season due to the Argentines there and the way that ATM is playing right now is the most boring football that I've seen this season considering the attacking talent that they have.
If Simeone is still the coach, it's best that Alvarez moves away. Think he will fit in nicely as a 9 with Flickball (price is the biggest issue though).
