No wonder for anything that happened to us in last 6 years. Its undeniable that they are talented bunch, perhaps very top tier, but the lack of work ethics is what brought us misery.

Apparently gomes on his way to city for big money.

That's two potentially Alba back up at the very least we missed out on.

I hope we don't make the same mistake with balde.

Well tbh we didn't really "miss out" on Gomez. He was an AMC here that didn't make it at Dortmund either and only converted to LB last year. Paying 30m for him after having one good season in Belgian league is also quite risky. Not so much for City but for us clearly.

With Alonso about to sign for us I hope our plan is to bin this guy next summer and have Alonso + a new starting LB in 2023. Alternatively Alonso + Balde depending on how well he does out on loan.

He makes schoolboy goof ups when he's the last man and there's no one behind him. This can be very dangerous. Especially in a knockout game.

Also he's awfully soft and an overdramatic diver. Tries too be a bit too clever at times. Will cost Barca at multiple points.

Marcus Alonso is better. There I said it.
Alonso way better physically. Brilliant crosser and strong in the air.
