When is all of the leaking of information to the press going to stop? Now it comes out that Laporta said we allegedly have 200 million to spend… why would you ever let that information get out?

Everyone knows we will have a bit of money to spend we just sold 25% of our TV rights we didn't do it just for kicks.

He's been saying all along the only way to get ourselves out this hole is to get competitive again.

So that's no leak thats just stating the obvious.

Frankie sale + TV money = 200m it's not that much when you think about it that way, we just have to be smart with it, already wasted 65m on ferran, we can't afford another bust.

(1) The difference between RM and FCB is we only have misses under Barto and Larporta v.2. They have misses and hits. (2) We have not had 1 hit if FDJ is sold. (3) The other clubs argument is nonsense sometimes other clubs "bid" to drive up the price.Other clubs wanted Dembele and Coutinho so what? (4) The reality is if we don't buy Ferran and Raphina and whoever else we have ENOUGH MONEY FOR HAALAND. (5) This club turned down Davies, Haaland and others when offered when they were dirt cheap. (6) The other clubs don't have crippling debt they can take gambles we can't. (7) Lewi is old and it looks like we will overpay for him. Raphina is like Ferran unproven you never pay a lot for unproven. (8) The media leaks continue under Laporta the problem with media leaks is you let players and clubs know your moves. They can hijack them outbid you etc.. (9) We should pay off our debts not go further in debt maybe for Haaland but not for Raphina and Lewi. (10) The reality is Ferran and Eric are Alemany and Xavi choices and they suck. Let's see how Alemany and Xavi are at picking players there is absolutely no proof they are good at it. (11) We get Christenson who is an average player RM gets Rudiger who is a top CB in the world. (12) Going after Azpi etc other old players is ridiculous.(12) How hard they are going for injury prone and inconsistent Dembele shows how clueless they are.

I cant believe that most of barca supporters are happy with Laporta?s actions. Araujo and Pedri are the best players in your current team and you get them for 25 mil or something like that. Thats the best way to get out of this financial situation. Instead of that, Laporta is splashing 65 mil for Ferran, 60 for a winger with 7 goals from open play and 3 assists for Leeds and is ready to pay 50 for Lewa, who is 34 and will not score more than Auba in my opinion. I understand selling FdJ to pay 80-90 mil for Bernardo since he is in top 5 midfielders in the world, in perfect football age, playing in team with similar style and ideas?but other Laporta targets for these prices are laughable.

 Why is everyone considering Ferran Torres already a flop after 6 months. Man doesn't even have a preseason with us FFS...

Besides, not all bad. He scored and assisted in his first La Liga Clasico for example. The lad is 22.

There has to be some middle ground on these forums even. Even if football fans are a fickle bunch in general. So far he's a mixed bag. Some good games, some poor ones. More poor ones true, but it's early to be drawing conclusions.

for the money wasted on him plus a couple others (Lewi Raphina etc) we could have had HAALAND a proven superstar ready to dominate for years come on man that is the move we make if we don't keep throwing money away ... you think raphina lewi or ferran ever going to come close to Haaland he did this with nothing teams imagine him at Barca or ... Man City smh

Would Haaland still be waiting for Barcelona though? We still need to push through all the levers and sell before buying.

Nothing is guaranteed and the leaks of 200m transfer kitty right now is nothing more than distraction.

If he wanted Barca then yes he would wait. Top players have waited all summer for moves in the past.. waiting until first week of July is no difficulty.

Barca dont need to push through all levers either. They could sign him before that just cant register him.

Raphinha it seems is waiting, same with Kounde and Lewa by all accounts when all three have other clubs interested.

Haaland was a non issue. He doesn't choose us even if we could afford him. Barca have to become a big player in CL again for the elite players to want to join. If we do that, we instantly become a tier A destination for any player that is not obsessed about money, very close to Madrid's pull. You just have to look at the stature of players that wore our shirt in history to realize this.

Haaland most likely knows he has Spain as option further down the line as well.

Good move for him to City now on face of it.

Nothing to do with money either and him chosing that ahead of Barca/Real.

LOL keep telling yourselves that! Haaland wanted to come to Barca (twice) but they told him they couldn't afford him. Because they wasted money on Ferran Eric etc and will waste more money on Raphina Raphina is Dembele part 2
