Yeah, Laporta for me too. I was a big fan of Font?s project but in the last couple months Laporta has appeared the voice of reason. Election dates, handling of Koeman, Messi situation etc, Laporta?s experience is showing.

Not to mention the Eric Garcia deal, which from reports seems as if Victor Font is trying to leverage (for some reason) pushing the deal through now instead of in a few months when he [coud] actually be president.

Nah you are the type that comes out with the same old cliches and dont have a clue what are speaking about but think it sounds good.

How so? Genuine question.

Makes out Cruyff was 'kicked out club' in reality Cruyff was used as a political tool by Laporta before he left and created a position for him knowing he would be removed by next board as he didnt have the right to.

A few years later the club had linked with the Cruyff foundation etc again.

Moans about Qatar deal... fails to mention the socios voted it in and UNICEF on front of shirts was never going to be long term anyway. The reason it was there in first place was largely to soften socios towards a shirt sponsor.

Moans about he Neymar fee and how it was put through... there is some legitimacy in that being done in underhand way as the obsession of saving money but at same time Neymar was sold for double that a few years later regardless.

Moans about Abidal not getting contract he was 'promised' when the truth is Abidal once back was never in a position to play at same level and at that point the club offered another role.. In future he became sporting director and when ill the club had looked after him and extended contract.

Makes out the club wanted rid of Pep and caused him to leave which is not true and Pep admits the reasons he left. The same shit gets spoken all the time about how some wanted him out and then next breath they moan about club harrasing him to try and come back when Tito got ill.

When he is claimimg shit like 'heros for not using coloured printers' really is scraping the barrel.

The club won a treble the year after that article.

A lot of folk act smug and think they were proved correct with articles like this when they were largely nonsense and not the reasons Barca are where they are. Which is also on the board but for allowing too much power and influence from a group of older players that they held for too long and paid too much money and at same time large transfers that have failed. That is reason Barca are where are now not all that nonsense from years ago.

Not anti Laporta and hope he turns things round if wins but constant one sided shit that gets spoken was as wrong then as it is now and ignoring what really went wrong.
