The reason for this is that you don't want to show other clubs your hand. By saying what he said he doesn't damage anything. By coming out and saying " We definitely need to sign a striker in the summer. ", he not only damages the confidence of Ferran and Lewa in the business end of the season, but he adds a few extra euros on the price we will have to pay for a striker in the summer.

Of course there are occasions he lies for his own benefit, but the majority of times people moan about him lying are him actually doing so in the interest of the club itself.

The ' buh buh he lies ' is such a weak stick to beat him with considering all the great things he has achieved in his second term.
