I'm not really a fan of Font because I don't know him enough but what exactly did he do so wrong that he gets so much hate here?

He just talked about Xavi, alot.

He also said we should have signed Eric Garcia direct from Man City instead of letting him arrive on a free transfer.

For that, I'm out.

Maybe Eric helps Barca win the league that season or even finish 2nd and would pay for himself.

Given that league was thrown away after that Granada game when the back three were Pique, a one legged Umtiti and Mingueza.

Messi can say whatever he likes either way.

Quite clearly his issue is more abouthis name was used and lied to more than not being able to re sign.

This idea Laporta chose Barca over Messi is more lies anyway.

Laporta wanted to sign CVC deal and tried to behind back of board and socios not knowing the full extent of how bad it was.

Perez is the one who stopped it happening when intervened and let board know what Laporta was up to.

That whole story about sums up Laporta. For good and bad.

Let's repeat facts that Laporta sheep forget:

Font is the only candidate to this day that has presented an actual plan on how to run the club, and the only one that has business experience outside of football. Going from someone like Fatporta, who has 0 clue what he does and acts on his whims, to someone like Font is the equivalent of going from anarchy to organisation.

That said, Xavi hurts Font's campaign.
His biggest mistake in the last elections was to make XAvi the centerpiece of his campaign, only for the snake to backstab him at the end and play the 'neutral' in order to have the possibility to become the coach under Laporta.

Now that Laporta sacked him, he sides with Font again (hoping to have another chance as Barca coach, clearly).
Font will commit suicide if he relies again on him. Xavi should not be a name under his proposed structure, and should never become Barca coach again.
