UEFA is implementing the Super League ideas for 2027. Laporta is just joining the winning team.

FIFA are also adding safeguards to the CWC so clubs like Barca and Liverpool don't miss out again.

I don't like it, but when I see the refereeing of LaLiga, then anything led by Florentino will be even worse than what we have with UEFA.

That's the reality, the guy couldn't run a fair competition.

I defend Laporta when he's attacked baselessly, but I have also no problems to point wrong things out. This is obviously a brazen lie from him. LaLiga maybe suggested the idea to him, but without his approval, they would have picked just another club to go. It's not like they can force clubs to play in Miami. Putting the blame on them is a poor attempt to redirect fans anger towards Tebas, especially since the next election is close.
I understand that beggers can't be choosers, but lying brazenly like that as if wasn't also in his own interest looks very bad.
