The renewal clause ensures Barça €65M annually from Spotify for the match shirt alone. In addition, there is scope to extend sponsorship to the training kit: €10M for the front, €5M for the back (currently held by Congo), or €15M if Spotify takes both positions.
Compared to the current deal, where Spotify pays €57.5M for the shirt and €5M for training wear, the renewal reflects a substantial uplift.
However, Barça believes the shirt’s market value now exceeds €65M due to the club’s improved sporting prospects & Lamine Yamal’s global profile. Even so, the contract stipulates the €65M figure, with Spotify holding the unilateral option to renew at that pre-agreed rate. Via (): @QueThiJugues

How does this make any sense.

Congo are paying 12m.

The sponsorship guarantees €11m annually over four seasons (total €44m). The collaboration will be visible at the future Espai Barça, where a “Casa de la DRC” space is planned to showcase Congolese cultural and sporting heritage through interactive displays. The club’s Barça Academies will also roll out activities in the region – camps and clinics in football, basketball, handball, futsal and roller hockey.

I imagine as long the planned space at the Espai Barca, as well as all these additional activities are not ready yet, they'll pay less. (If these reports are true of course). I think 12m is too much for the back of the trainingshirt alone.

If midea is paying 12m just for the sleeve, 12m for the back of the training jersey seems about right
You can't compare match and training shirts. The exposure is on completely different levels. Barca training videos are watched on youtube by around 100-200k people. Millions are watching the games.

But Training kits are showed on match day as well, whether it be pre game or during the game, while players warm up and such.

So they get that exposure as well as training exposure, where clips of our training session are often used as B role when broadcasters talk about the club.

While you can barely see the sleeve most times

So realistically it balances out.

Nah, it's still a huge difference. How many people are watching the warm-up before the game? Nearly all broadcasters start to translate once the players gather in the tunnels. And warm-up shirt during the game is most of the time covered by a bright shirt to distinguish them from the players on the field. Not to mention, that these camera shots are only a few sec long.
You can't compare it to match shirt sponsoring. A player scores a goal or does something other interesting, millions see the close-up with the sleeve visible. You never come even close to that reach with training shirts.
