Yes they 'took turns' and had x3 as many winners of CL as any other countries whos teams couldnt do enough to 'take turns'.

Agreed.

When was the EPL golden era in mid 00s? What years we talking here?

Taking turns is a flaw. Not a credit. It means there is no real boss in that league. Anyone has a shot. Hell, the biggest club in that league is a bottom feeder now.

It's a chaotic league.

No it isnt.. we are talking about teams at their peak in a league.

Irrelevant where that team then falls to and other teams rise up.

No one is arguing Chelsea have been at top constantly in last 10 years.. but when they are is relevant.

Again.. when was EPL top era in mid 00s?

Three different EPL teams winning CL in last 10 years is a credit compared to how many winners from other leagues.

And it means more teams in EPL are succesfull in CL as opposed to one in Spain, France and Germany.

Agreed.

Luckily I don't care about that. It simply means EPL doesn't have a standout side. Not even one.

They all take turns, up now, down next seasons. Only City established some dominance at the level of the big sides in Europe. Rest, not much.

Means they have had 3 that have been best in Europe while every other country in last 10 years has had at most one in any given season.

With Real being the most dominant of lot in that time.

They have also beaten one another in multiple finals.

Can see you are avoiding this 'mid 00s' dominance argument as realised how shite a point it was.

Great point. Mid to late 00s EPL was much more dominating than this billionaire version. Better sides, better managers, better players, better results.

What years would that be that it was far more dominant?

I would say with the CL there is a before and after Ronaldo and that 3 peat team and since then EPL has clearly been the dominant league in the 7 years since across the board.

I told you.

2005 - 1 win, 1 finalist, 2 semis
2006 - 1 finalist
2007 - 1 finalist, 3 semis
2008 - 1 win, 2 finalists, 3 semis
2009 - 1 finalist, 3 semis

Last 2 years, 1 semis and zero otherwise.

Pales by comparison. Back then they had a finalist for 5 straight years. 3/4 semifinalists for 3 straight years.

So that is 2 wins in 5 years?

From 18/19 to 22/23

EPL had x3 different winners.

Two all EPL finals and two runners up..

Winning it and having all EPL finals obviously doesnt count.

EPL is better at selling a product and that was since its inception. But it always was about money, that's why the Italian league ruled in the 90s. Remember when Lazio assembled that star studded team, won the league and then went bust? Many of the sugar daddies in Italy had companies that faced financial issues and that meant the clubs had financial issues.

In EPL money started flowing in trough media companies and Russian billionaires who moved to England in order to wash their money. Then the other billionaires came in. Lots of factors in favor of EPL, but main one is still money.

Throw the same amounts of cash into LL or Serie A and all the best players will go there. South Americans would definitely choose Spain/Italy, 9 times out of 10.

At the end of the day the best football clubs are located in financially powerful areas of Europe.

EPL is going worse, not better. Not the league it was with Pep and Klopp at their best. 3 years ago, never missed a derby at the top. Now I can't care less.

Meh, City struggle now, and Chelsea look on the up.

Only consistency there atm is United is still shite. Some people like clubs going up and down, I like strong clubs, big forces having a go at each other. Not much in it at that level for me.
