Wild that we paid 25m for a GK who has less youth International caps than both Inaki Pena and Arnau Tenas.

The power of brand Barca eh.

Hopefully he's a late bloomer and ends world class. I'm hopeful but very reserved.

I appreciate the fact that we went in for him and he didn't fuck around, thinking about loyalty to Espanyol and all of that, he just made the move.

I hope Nico is watching, I understand staying last season to potentially play in the EL final.

But this is the last time this train is stopping

If I were an Asspanyol supporter :puke:, I would still have understood this transfer. This makes sense to an ambitious upcoming player.

But Asspanyol supporters are braindead.

This will turn out as a "told you so-situation". Either by the fans that want to keep Stegen (and there are still plenty of those) or the ones that want him gone. Even if Stegen stays, this will hopefully ignite some much needed fire under his arse. Anyway i hope Garcia becomes a very solid #1.

I don't care whether MATS stays or leaves. His injury was a blessing that forced the club to seek alternatives. I'm glad that Barca now have 3 (not counting Pena) players fighting for the GK spot.

Joan Garcia:
"When there is such a young team with such good players... it is a very exciting project. In addition, I am lucky enough to meet some of the team's players. I really want to start and be with them."

"I am very happy, I was really looking forward to this day and it has finally arrived. I want to continue growing as a goalkeeper and get very beautiful things."

"I consider myself a fast goalkeeper of reflexes and in the aerial game I try to contribute things."
