Yeah but it does not change the fact that he does not dive into tackles like masch and puyol. I think no one could have stopped bale that night except maybe Mathieu on weed.

Mathieu is the hero Barcelona needed. Such a monster in the air, fast, awesome tackling, even attacks well. Can't wait for him to get score important headed goal.

HT against Armenia, Mathieu had a very average performance in the first half, quite slow. A sliding tackle at the 43th minute that almost gave me a heart attack, he could have injured himself.

He needs to adjust to his best form for the Clasico.

His performance will probably get overlooked today.

He was absolutely amazing. Especially considering he had two dummies in Pique and Alves defending alongside him.
