So they've managed to find one RB who is worse than Trent defensively. I just don't see him working out in a back four.
He's much better than Trent defensively.

* 75% tackle win rate for Frimpong; 70% for Trent - i.e. tackles where the ball was won by tackler or team mate
* 55% tackle success for Frimpong; 46% for Trent - i.e. tackles where the ball was won by tackler
* 0.5 failed tackles per 90 for Frimpong; 2.1 for Trent - i.e. unsuccessful tackle attempts
* 0.97 passes blocked per 90 for Frimpong; 0.66 for Trent
* 0.04 errors per 90 for Frimpong; 0.16 for Trent
* 33% aerial duels won for Frimpong; 19% for Trent

Nah, he was just better protected playing as a WB, won't have that privilege now. Also playing in Bumsiliga compared to PL. Will be a big downgrade from Trent imo.

Did anybody ever test him there? It's a risk but it could work, wasn't Alves also a wingback until he came to Barca? Something like that. Not that Liverpool had some amazing RB in defense until now.

If we thought a little out of the box someone like Frimpong could cover many positions like Cancelo did but on a higher level. Could see him being ok at LW, RW, RB, LB. We should look for solutions like that if we can't afford specialists in every position.

Never really watched Frimpong much so maybe I'm wrong and he can't be trusted, anyway he'll sign for Liverpool before we even start thinking about transfers.

Amazing dribbling and pace.

He's the most sensible Arnold replacement on the market. Very different players but both as offensive. Makes sense.

Liverpool needs to spend more cash on players not named Rodrygo though... I still feel dread they are the ones taking the bait.

Relax and trust in Michael GOAT Edwards.

The only L he has ever taken is Naby Keita and he was a terrific fit for the club and a baller too but unfortunately couldn't make it in LFC because of his constant injury problems.

We need defenders who can actually defend. Flick's system will make players look better offensively but he can't teach them how to defend so getting someone who is good at that should be prefered (he'll regress here in this system anyway). We are also not really in a position to spend big money on versatile squad players. Should get someone like Mingueza if we're looking at those type of players.

Alves played a few games as RM in 442 for Sevilla before coming here but played majority of his games as RB. Ofc in his post-Barca career he was used all over the pitch but that's irrelevant here.

We'll see, maybe Slot will improve him defensively but I clearly wouldn't trust Flick with that, lol.

Would you rate Slot higher than Flick?
