Jeremie Frimpong

Out of 87 games, he started 4 at RB during last 2 seasons. Can go back another season where he played slightly more, then it's 135 games, 19 at RB.

The way Cancelo got shat on for his defending, I think Frimpong will be more or less the same, or even worse.

Because Leverkusen play wing backs/right midfielders.. not all that dissimilar and he has played RB plenty in his career... 125 games going by trnsfmrkt and has over taken that with 136 due to his wing back/RM role at Leverkusen.

If he could defend well he would be best RB in world hence why would be great squad option to cover different positions but without really being what need as a starter.

Impossible though.

He's insanely fast and a sensational dribbler.

Also underrated defensively.

Great goalscorer and end product for his position. He's one of the best RWBs in the world.

I was on his hype train last season. Wanted us to buy him. He too was twerking for us.

But we went and bought Olmo. Alas.

Having said that, he is a luxury player for us, rather than a necessity. If budget allows, after us filling all the gaps, why not?
But we broke, so its not going to happen.

Even if we make attempt to get him, he has the chance to walk into Liverpool starting lineup. They are one of the best teams in the World right now with a dutch coach.

He will be a backup here, with small chance of taking over Kounde.

It is no contest really.

That is the biggest question.

Can he become a more "traditional" RB as Hakimi did when people thought he would struggle and couldn't or will he be one of those RWBs who struggle a lot with more defensive responsibilities as a RB.

I think he'll be fine as a RB, I wanted him last summer I think and move kounde to CB, but now that's never happening.

So they've managed to find one RB who is worse than Trent defensively. I just don't see him working out in a back four.
