There you go. I knew this game was going to break some kind of a record. That first half was just insane

And consider we also slowed down after the 3rd goal (which is about 20 minutes before the end)

There is a lot xG doesn't account for too. We could have scored much much more than 6

4 out of the top5 best attacking performances the last 10 years or so (since data began), took place UNDER THIS MAD GENIUS!!
Problem is, many people start to shittalk again, when our defense looks bad because of the dangerous high line. They don't understand that our offensive statistics go hand in hand with the defensive risk. You can't have one without the other.

Wild how Lamine is essentially on par with Fermin in output, yet all the buzz constantly surrounds Lamine. In fact, many even wanted to sell Fermin to Chelsea last summer for a measly 50m euro when his output stats now outshine Olmo's!

👑

Also, Tuna is our top scorer so far... que sorpresa! Flick is really getting the best out of this lot. Very cool to see.

DMs or B2B type of midfielders need to be great on the ball for them to be useful for top teams.

Look at all the best teams in Europe and none of them play with someone that's a liability on the ball.

Issue is that getting those type of players that are also very good is not easy.

This team needs a top-class CB more than a DM.

Most teams don't play with Enforcer DM's anymore. There's Palhinha(Bayern/Spurs) but he's so limited on the ball that he would fail in a team like ours. There's a reason why Kompany wanted nothing to do with him anymore and ended up back in the EPL.

Flick as far as I know never used regular DMs for his base. He mostly stuck with players like Pedri/Thiago/FDJ or a B2B Midfielders in the vein of Goretzka as a duo.

Eric technically is about as close as an Enforcer somewhat we have. However when FDJ/Pedri are both fit he has uses for Eric Elsewhere and has been using Olmo down deep in Pedri's absence as of late.

At yesterday's Mundo Deportivo Gala.

Hansi Flick: "The images, the emotion, the history shown here today... it's incredible. Coaching Barcelona is a dream come true. The first time I visited the Camp Nou, I told myself that one day I would be on the bench. I have so much love for this club. For me, it's the best in the world. I really appreciate living in Barcelona. The people are so kind to our coaching staff. It's incredible to work here, truly. I have a fantastic president, a fantastic coaching staff. The players are amazing. We've created a great atmosphere. This, for me, is important to win titles and be successful. We're experiencing a great moment."

Joan Laporta: "Flick will have a contract for as long as he wants if I'm president. For us, it was important to have someone with his experience and knowledge, but if he's a phenomenon as a coach, he's even more so as a person. That day, the day he was signed, we saw that we were doing something important, because he was a coach through and through, and he knew how to manage a group, a group of very young players alongside others with experience. He knows the club very well and will gain more experience. He's the ideal coach for these years at Barça, and thanks to him, we're experiencing a very sweet moment."

Truth
It's an open secret that Hansi appreciates this board and President in particular yet the entorno would love to create some headlines by peppering him with talk of the election & his vote. Shrewdly resisting the impulse to give the clickbaiters material to generate controversy

That is the task for the challengers to Laporta - how to distinguish yourself when Laporta resurrected the club from near SAD implosion, built a state of the art Espai Barça, beautiful sporting football from men & women's sides and prudent financial restructuring. How, in a democracy, can you challenge that without hoping the incumbent stumbles, generates a public controversy or disappoints financially or sporting wise? You invent garbage to undermine rather than acknowledge the tremendous work done

Font et al have zero chance because they have nothing to offer but look to destabilize and as Hansi said, stability is critical

Espai is built on previous boards plans and future boards money.

Calma.

The womens side he inherited a womens side ahead of the curve and with best set up in world due to decisions taken before he arrived. Has since cut back the budget.

SAD is likely due to the decisions made for short term anyway.

No one is trying to destabilize Flick or anyone. Pure fantasy.

Dont moan about anything being 'destabilized' when the decision is taken for the election to be mid season for benefit of board.
