Belletti is next, we always try someone linked to the club first and he's been doing a solid job with the youth.

Anyone it is, after flick we'll have to get use to having more pedestrian managers like valverde, unless they take a risk with someone like Conte who has personality.

One of the things I was curious about - after the game winning goal by PSG, the camera panned to him and he was seen yelling something and gesturing.

Now, while that is normal when you lose at the end like that, what I'd like to know is who or what he was pissed about. Was he pointing at someone in defense for an individual mistake, was he pointing at the defense for not maintaining a good line or was he yelling about the press?

Reason I'm curious is that if he's just pissed the defense was holding too high a line, then it's the players who made an error and can learn. But if he was not happy with the pressing, I think that's less good news - because it's clear that we were tired and we weren't able to press well at all in that second half. So just yelling about not having intensity doesn't help - sometimes you need to see that it's not there and adjust accordingly.

I like flick and happy to give him time. It's just that in his second year, the fact that the team still plays a suicidal high line with ZERO pressure on the ball as a general tactic....I find this concerning. I understand it may happen every now and then but it's been happening consistently and I am not sure if that he's willing to see it or address it. Your response cannot just be 'nope you gotta press all the time'. It's just not possible.

Listen that earlier, they key statement is

"It's not about the high line, it's about how & when it's implemented".

Everyone seems to get this except the flick crowd on here.

Don't change, just be more situationally aware as a team and it starts with the coach.

You forgot how RAphina played under Xavi, when all of us were cursing him?
Short memory...

There are players like Raphina that can shine when a coach plays them CORRECTLY in the right system, and there are players like Lamine and Pedri that will shine no matter the system and the coach.
Big difference

In any case, let's say Raphina belongs to the 'top tier' and not to 'world class tier'.
I have corrected your list with top tier players in parenthesis, and the difference is stark between Barca and the others:

Liverpool: Allison, VVD, salah, Isak, McAllister (Wirtz, Gravenberch, Konate)
5 WC, 8 in total

City: Rodri, haaland, Reijnders (Donnaruma, Gvardiol, Savinho, Doku, Foden)
3 WC, 8 in total

Arsenal: Saka, Rice (Zubimenti, Eze, Saliba, Calafiori, Havertz)
2 WC, 7 in total

Bayern: Kane, Olise (kimmich, Diaz, Musiala, Davies)
2 WC, 6 in total

Chelsea: Palmer, Caicedo, Enzo (Joao Pedro, Reece James, soon Estevao and Gittens here)
3 WC, 7 in total

Madrid: Courtois Mbappe, Vini, Bellingham (Tchouameni, Militao, Trent, Mastantuono)
4 WC, 8 in total

PSG: Mendes, vitinha, dembele (Doue, Kvara, Neves, Ruiz, Hakimi)
3 WC, 8 in total

Barca: Yamal, pedri, (raphinha, Joan Garcia, Rashford, FDJ)
2 WC, 6 in total

We are the lowest in WC players (together with Arsenal and Bayern), and the lowest in top players in total (together with Bayern)
No offence (actually a lot of offence), but why do you go around acting like your opinion is the truth? Just look at your language there. 'I have corrected your list' then followed it up with something very highly subjective that some would agree on and some would disagree on. It's so so arrogant and off-putting.

The problem you and Tempt both have is that you are both fucking bullshitters and make it up as you go along. You talk so confidently like everything you say is fact - as if you both have the secret to the objective truth. You talk to those you disagree with like they're fucking morons to have a different viewpoint.

This would be bad enough even if you were Rinus Michels or Pep Guardiola - the fact you are both actually clueless, been wrong about loads (and will be wrong about loads more), extremely reliant on flawed stats, and have clearly rarely ever played football yourselves, just makes it worse.

I did like you but your desperation around here to be seen as some sort of football expert or guru is fucking cringeworthy. It's a GAME and many many people know more about the game than you, both on here and in general. Quit the 'I am a genius' act and wind your neck in. Bollocks like your completely misguided and inflated view of yourself is another thing putting me off posting here, and why i really cannot wait until Barcaman deletes my account. I will never have to read your ego laden 'I am 100 percent right on this' posts again about football.

A truly smart guy would actually doubt his opinions rather than being as stonewall confident in them as you seemingly are. Truly intelligent football fans question stuff, I question my own opinions all the time because I am not as arrogant as you.

'I have corrected you' as if you are about to post a mathematical formula or certainty - then you go on to give highly subjective opinions about what footballers are world class. Fanny. Get a life outside of obsessing over football, too.

Just tried the formation I've been suggesting on FIFA, gavi at 10 and raphinha as striker.

COOKED, worked in every way I expected

Raphinha could not be stopped on the counter.

The Midfield was dominant because gavi could drop back.

Fifa = real life

Do it flick.
