Ya we are not playing as Bombastic as last season. But I was actually hoping we wouldn't at the start of the season, which is what we are.

But instead, we are rotating players and keeping them rested, which is all I want us to do in the first half of the season.

Rashford is playing a lot of minutes.
Ferran is playing more than last season, I mean, early season.
Lewa has been benched more often.
Raphinha is playing a lot, but with Yamal being fit now, I am hoping he gets to rest for a fair bit now.
Kounde is getting fewer minutes, thanks to Eric. Which is good.
Let's see if Balde gets the same treatment. Martin seems to have improved, going by the forum, lets see if he takes minutes.
Our Back line has been heavily rotated till now, I hope Christensen gets more minutes, but I am actually fine with the amount of rotation.
Fermin and Olmo seem to be at neck & neck with athe mount of game time they get. When Fermin is fit, I see the same happening.

The only problem at this moment I see is Pedri's position, as we don't have a reliable backup to him. Gavii was, but he's out now for many months.
The only backups are "defensively minded" players. ie; Casado, FDJ, Bernal, Eric. This might create problem called Pedri Dependencia.

Now seeing the amount of Rotaions we are implementing. The stats we are generating is quite good. And I am hopeful it will get even better.
Highest Goal scored in the league.
Highest xG in the league, highest shots on target.
xG conceded we are at 16th, and doing much better than Real & ATM, who are 12th & 13th respectively.

It's only 6 matches, but I think we are doing way better than last season defensively, while keeping fresh legs. If Flick keeps doing this, and we keep it neck in neck on the points table.
I am happy. Thats all I was hoping for, for the first half of the season.

What i love about him is that is sub are always very good. And he is not waiting too much or scared to make change unlike xavi.

Our remontada last season is also bcz of him.

I agree with all the points you did. It also must be stated that Hansi has learned to develop his play without Lamine Yamal. And now we have played 7 games of 2025-26, 4 of them without Lamine Yamal and we won all of them. Compared to last season where we played 4 games without Yamal starting and we won 1, drew 1 and lost 2.

early signs are good. Lets see if `flick rotates him much, and how we fair.
We'll get a better picture around the December timeframe.

You could see even yesterday how much we need Rashy. We don't have enough dribbling ability, players who can challenge one vs one. We could use another sub who could do that.

Raphinha is great and all, but he isn't that. Raphinha is the perfect complimentary player when you have Yamal.

Dribbling opens up a lot of space and creates chaos. Passing will get you only so far.

We need one more destabilizing dribbling attacker, doesn't have to be the biggest name

It's all about chaos for me. Traore isn't the best player in the world, but I liked the chaos he created when he played for Barca. As a super sub I don't mind this type of players. It can cause a lot of good things, yellows, freekicks, red cards etc.

Then you add supersubs like Luuk De Jongs for crosses and we will be cooking last few minutes even vs parked bus.
