The difference between the midfields are the fullbacks- mainly Hakimi.

Give us their fullbacks- mainly Hakimi, and we can have the same amount of pressing and 5 metre passing specials.

Their front 3 also all drop back and act as midfielders here and there. We can't do that with Lewy.

I don't know WTH de Jong playing very well this season, something that anyone with a brain can see, he played about as well as casado.

But that as nothing do to with the fact that he is totally incapable of filling the AM position, in a midfield rotation, if he does, the play will die.

I don't know WTH Olmo being weak as to do with the fact that if he is asked to fill the DM position, he would have 0 clue how to position himself and the right passes to make.

Out here comparing Neves to Gavi to make an nonsense point and take a nonsense shot, completely the wrong player to compare him to for PSG.

It's basic stuff, like really really honestly basic stuff.

All of that while it would help, wouldn't change the fact that two of our Midfielders don't feel comfortable in all positions in Midfield.

Thinking it's all about quick one twos, that leads to the midfield rotation is why people think our current Midfield 3 could perhaps do the same thing.

It's over simplifying the issue and not seeing that each person can hold whatever position they take up for a good 5 minutes if needs be

Does anyone want to see olmo at DM for 5 straight minutes, or de Jong being the one to finish off multiple chances or create the final pass for 5 straight minutes, gavi as more assist and goals than him this season for Christ sake.

Those two can't do it, especially olmo, but neither.

Why would be ashamed lol

We had a brilliant season.

Bullshit that we conceded 7 goals to inter for sure, when the likes of AC milan concedes 0, while scoring 3.

You can definitely score without being hopelessly exposed at the back

But that's an uncomfortable discussion most aren't ready to have yet, it doesn't fit the agenda

Nah, I think your building a narrative that isn't there.

We will see both teams next year chief.

PSG will be looking to build a CL dynasty under LE now. While we need to prove that the Inter result was a freak anomaly that we have overcome.

I never build narratives, only facts.

If anyone was trying to build a narrative it's you, while I told you it's Pace and technique, you tried to make them them out to he some pace machine.

I think we all now know how that went.

Or trying to take your little pot shots at them this season. (Bit of an expert at pot shots)

We don't need to wait, I've already been proven right, porque my friendly poster.

De Jong and olmo, lack the skillset to do what the PSG Midfield can do.

Anyone who disagrees answer this question.

The opposition in on a break and we have olmo sitting in the DM position, do you feel

A. Confident he will handle the situation
b. Worried.

We are attacking and need a defensive splitting pass or a goal, de jong as the ball or it lands at his feet, do you feel

A. Worried
B. Confident.

Now ask anyone who who watches PSG, how they would feel if any of their 3 midfield were caught in any position in Midfield.

The answer to those 3 questions, tells us what we need to know.

PS if PSG doesn't manage to build a CL dynasty what does that prove BTW? Only a hand full of teams have ever done that in CL history.

SF last season, Final this season, if they even get to the QF next season, it's a pretty significant achievement, when you look at it in context.

The only round of 16 exits is when Messi joined the team lol

Nah, it's a narrative just coz Inter bombed in the final. Partly down to Inter being way below par, partly down to PSG being good.

Same as the tosh about Inter scoring 7.

7 against us.

Can easily be rebuked.

Aston Villa scored 4 against PSG.

4.

....

Then lost against Man Utd.

Man United.

Inter didn't just bomb in the final. They bombed in Italy also. These aren't narratives, just reality. Napoli won 2 titles in both seasons Inter got to the final of CL.

They got overrated and PSG exposed it by basically giving them no gifts at all. Made Inter elevate their football to stay in the game and they could not do it simple as that.
