Give us Virgil 😈🔥
Konate?
Dude, finally an all timer has shown loyalty towards the club. Let us have him!Give us Virgil 😈🔥
True and it will be more difficult than anything. Flick's football is extremly demanding physically and mentally. His second season at Bayern had already more problems than his first.
It'll be a near impossible task to maintain that physical output and keep the team fresh and healthy over the entire season at the same time, especially because we'll be the team to beat next season. Every small gear must work for this over the entire season, we can't afford players on the bench who can't help us win games like Fati and Pau this season. It'll be a huge task for Flick to even repeat this season and try to reach the CL final.
But there will be time enough for this talk, for now let's enjoy the here and now. Otherwise if you just look ahead, you forget to live in the moment and enjoy the results of one year of work.
For what?I hope we don’t get complacent in the next 2 games. Such a great season needs a 90+ points tally
Also something that has happened ONCE isn't exactly a pattern that is about to repeat. Barca's team is way too young to be "tired" only into a second season of a high pressing system. Yamal, Cubarsi, Balde, Pedri are 17, 18, 21 and 23. The rest is somewhere between 26 and 28 except Lewandowski. Tiredness should never be an issue unless the physio staff is doing a terrible job.
I prefer possession football for longevity
It would be a testament to show our great season. All of that hard work has to succumb to something as great as a 90+ point season. We haven’t had one of those in 8 years. For what?
Hansi did not have a preparation for his first season at Bayern - only one for physical fitness after the Covid restart - and he did not have one between the CL tournament and his second season. And this second season had extra matches because of the late start and the Supercups, Club World Cup etc. We even had to play the 2nd or 3rd round of the coup on a Thursday at the end of the international break with the next match on Sunday.
You have a big advantage before the next season. All the other big teams are at the Club World Cup. The Bayern players have a week holiday after Saturdays match before they have the nations league finals and 5 days later Bayern flies to the USA. After the tournament there is maybe another week off until the prep for the season starts. And I think that Real Madrid and Atletico do not have a different schedule.
Whereas Barcelona - in difference to Flick's second year at Bayern and in difference to the big other teams - has a full preparations and the players can have four weeks holidays.
The second year was won with a 13 point advantage in the Bundesliga. We lost in the cup but that happens - and had injuries to various players against PSG but even with that should have won against them as we had a lot more chances.
