That's the problem for us lol.

The cup brings extremely strong opponents for us and we have to sacrifice a lot to even win that.

In other leagues it's a piece of cake (except for FA Cup).

If only LaLiga dropped the cumbersome two leg semi's, and followed England by having the Semi's in neutral grounds and 1 game affairs.

Madrid can play theirs in Sevilla and us, at Montjuic for example.

Bayern had it easier to win league than Barca/Real/Atletico but all 3 teams reached more cl finals than them since 13/14 so dont know if its really better if league is too 'easy' and you dont get prepared for the big games in cl🧐

It is not better if league is piss easy and lopsided, because nobody cares if you win titles in such league. But, if you are like PSG and have basically unlimited resources from Qatar, it increases your chances to do well in CL, provided you are not managed horribly.

So, taking PSG, if they woke up and moved past their galactico stupidity... they are gonna be a force in CL for many years now. You can't keep established stars motivated if you play in a farmer's league. But you can sign new stars from lesser teams in lesser leagues or your own league. Sadly, they have realized this.

They assembled a top team from such talents. Talents always pop up in B-C level sides, and many of them are not going to draw attention fast from the elite clubs, especially not at the price point that these B-C level sides will want. So, when PSG do their homework well, they can land these players, and leaving PSG is never easy.

Bayern is not a good example, because while they play in a league they have a firm hold on, their financing model is traditional. They are not a sugardaddy club, basically subserving a billionaire's pleasure.

A Bayern, Barca, Madrid, operated with unlimited spending is a nightmare proposition for anybody else. These clubs being the biggest 3 clubs of all is the reason they are the last to resist full acquisition.

You guys might be a bit wrong here.

If you look at this. Pedri was trying to keep the ball. Do it the Barca way, but Yamal ignored his directions and tried to shoot. This action later resulted in Inter having the ball, and 30sec later they score.
Would not fault Yamal or Flick.

Flick cannot communicate with every player like he is in their ears. Lack of experience is also a big part of our team.
Dying minutes of the game, the stadium is going wild, it's hard to communicate with every player at that time. Some players go by intuition, some like Yamal, might assume the Coach only wants to attack.

Edit: Also if you see that clip, only 4 players were trying to be around the box. Fermin and Yamal are both trying for that goal. Lewa making that run. And Raphinha is marking that one player and going forward to be an option. Most of our team wasn't even in that clip and hanging back. They expected to keep the ball and recycle.
Don't think so. Not seeing anything in that clip to assure me that Pedri is trying to congelate the game.

Let's hope the Louis Vuitton/Red Bull/Bahrain owned Paris FC gets enough institutional support to challenge them.

Would be hilarious if they got St Denis.

Alot of critics here are overlooking how much Flick has improved the majority of players.
Pedri, Raphinha, Ferran, Eric Garcia, Inigo,Balde. Lewa is better than last season. All these guys were pretty much panned by everyone including me.
Everyone wanted these guys out. Not to mention bringing Casado and Berbal through. Also De Jong is better.
I never thought Pedri and Raphinha could be balin for contenders but they surely will be in the top ten.

I'm sure all the good posters here know full well he made a mistake as well. Even if they don't come out and blame him directly, they know it.

What are you on about. Mistake. Pedri passed the ball to Lamine, makes himself available and shows him to pass back. Lamine went for glory instead.
Notion of Flick insisting on gung ho all the time is false and ill intended.

I am not blaming Lamine either. As I do not blame Cuba. They are teenagers and will make mistakes but we are blessed to have them.

These backhand compliments for Flick and secret pining for Xavi is getting tiresome. Be out and open with it and present the facts. Jamrock and mclovin are at least somewhat consistent in their delusion.

Another poor take from Bojan.

Its always a conspiracy with trumpies.

Can never just call it as it is

He fucked up, end of story, as everyone in football with 2 working Brain cells as said he and the team did.

Sorry not sorry, You think about Xavi almost as much as his wife ffs.

Just be grateful the great Joan Laporta is about to bring up our 2nd league title in 3 years, while rosell is somewhere sitting in the dark.

Defensive line with a 1 goal lead with 3 minutes left.

6 players in the attacking 3rd

Space between the lines as wide as the space between Donald Trump's hair strands.

But yea he didn't fuck up.

I was done, but had to kill Bojan with some facts, since he mentioned my name.

Facts the thing people like him hate the most. Lol

Titi H toots his own horn and everyone been repeating it 😝

1 inch to the left and inter's bodybagged. Zero qualms with Yams taking the shot.

We still had possession afterwards anyways with the throw-in. Might as well blame Denzel for the equalizer 🔫

Think he again hinted in the press conferrence today that he will not change his approach. It's basically his style, take it or leave it. High risk almost all the time is something we'd have to learn to live with as fans.

It's a bit of a shame, because in the rare occasions we defended deep we received 0 goals. Atletico away 1-0, Benfica away 1-0, Madrid away after red card in the Supercup 0-0.

His approach is fantastic. There is no need to change the approach only to get more pragmatic in the dying minutes of games (specifically CL deciding ones). And that's not only his responsibility, players also need to know they should fucking keep the ball.

But it will come with experience. Inter was a trauma, no doubt all of them were extremely disappointed. You saw how Szczesny was doing his best to waste every second as soon as Raphinha scored and he catch the ball, years of different experiences have taught him.

For all the churros and tacticas. Christensen in instead of Joe and we are more than likely in the final.

If the manager only wants to play this one way, it is imperative to clean the squad of weaklings. I agree. Problem is he subbed Joe instead of Christensen, so he dug his own hole in this area also.

For his sake this should be the last of Araujo in this team.

147km to 146 km in the match Inter / Barca. All posts bitching about resting key players, the numbers are there and they disagree. Went physically toe to toe with the hardest physical team in the CL this season. Kounde and balde getting injured at the same time is bad luck.. u can do nothing about that. We lost because of the ref, martin, arujo and luck. Hansi flick is the best manager in the world if u ask me. If he does the same things next season I would be happy I just wish he stays 4 years total at least, we are not getting a better manager than this guy unless somehow pep wants to do a second round with the team.
