Pretty sure even Valencia wouldn't have fielded Dro and Casado against Atletico. It's still a miracle we win so many games, even against an Atletico in a 7-win streak form with these kind of players, because of our injury crisis. The first half of the season is soon over and we still didn't play one single game with our best starting XI.

Winning against this Atletico with players like Martin, or with rotating Dro and Casado in for Rapha and Pedri, instead of Gavi, Fermin, Frenkie is an achievement not many coaches are able to do.
Dro and Casado came on in the last 20'. What are you on about?
The fact that we got the result in the end was mostly due to Atletico not finishing their chances. We dominated the game prior to the big changes, so it's not like Dro and Casado performed. We got lucky not to draw a game that should have been won by the starters.
Now we're wanking ourselves with pics of the 11 that finished the game like that is how we started.

He finally parked the bus

Where the clowns telling me Flick can’t change after the inter choke job?

EAT ROCKS
Imagine calling yourself out. Kept saying this guy is one trick pony and can't adapt no matter what. It's what every flick hater has been repeating this season. He has proven you wrong, and not for the first time

Bet there is going to be a milion posts like this when at the end of this season we achieve big success and his doubters come back to Flick

The park the bus job at the end was beautiful, he did it against atleti last season as well.

He needs to the learn to do it against teams that are not atletico, only way we are winning the CL with him as coach, even if we give him the best defenders of all time.

Flick didnt choose to park the bus and it was panic stations with them going close a few times when they had Barca forced deeper.

With the substitutes on Atelti had it far easier to get ball into final third and were taking more risks to do it.

Flick reacted to it by bringing on Christensen who would have been on long before if plan was to sit deep.

Absolutely no chance we sign likes of Schlotterbeck mid season. If his contract was out 2026, then maybe BVB would maybe want to get some millions for him. But now, no way. They have no reason to sell in January, unless we pay a huge amount of course., which we can't/won't.

20 minutes is long enough to consider them participating in the game, we're not talking about a few minutes subs to win time. Your post talked about the second best team in the league. While I don't dispute it, I answered that we didn't play once this season with our best lineup and Flick has to manage competing for the title with players like Martin, Dro and Casado as examples.

And to Atletico missing chances at the end:
Yes, we were lucky in the end when they had their last pressure phase, I wrote it too yesterday. But Atletico also comes always to chances against any opponent, they're too strong to keep them away from the goal the entire game. No team on the planet will manage it for 90 minutes. It's part of the credit not to concede for whatever reasons, same as if people would have blamed Flick for conceding.

And we still didn't start with our best lineup. Frenkie and Fermin were missing, while half of the players are freshly recovered or still finding form. Not forgetting about the bench, as it's part of the game same as the starting lineup, because in today's physical demanding football you need 15 players to win a game.

In summary, not giving credit for Flick managing with the current, available squad to lead LaLiga and beating teams like Atletico who were on a 7 games win streak and just recently beat last year's CL finalist, is because of bias, not rational opinion.

I said second best squad in the league and argument is still valid.
Giving credit is one thing, talking about how he massively over achieved is another thing. Talk about "beating teams" like Atletico when it was literally our first major win of the season. Any other big team we faced we lost.
Some mental gymnastics there with the "recently beat last year's CL finalist" - probably wanted to say the worst performance in a CL final and a team barely finding its feet under a new manager this season. Kind of brazen from you to label this Inter as some major scalp.
