20 minutes is long enough to consider them participating in the game, we're not talking about a few minutes subs to win time. Your post talked about the second best team in the league. While I don't dispute it, I answered that we didn't play once this season with our best lineup and Flick has to manage competing for the title with players like Martin, Dro and Casado as examples.Dro and Casado came on in the last 20'. What are you on about?
The fact that we got the result in the end was mostly due to Atletico not finishing their chances. We dominated the game prior to the big changes, so it's not like Dro and Casado performed. We got lucky not to draw a game that should have been won by the starters.
Now we're wanking ourselves with pics of the 11 that finished the game like that is how we started.
And to Atletico missing chances at the end:
Yes, we were lucky in the end when they had their last pressure phase, I wrote it too yesterday. But Atletico also comes always to chances against any opponent, they're too strong to keep them away from the goal the entire game. No team on the planet will manage it for 90 minutes. It's part of the credit not to concede for whatever reasons, same as if people would have blamed Flick for conceding.
And we still didn't start with our best lineup. Frenkie and Fermin were missing, while half of the players are freshly recovered or still finding form. Not forgetting about the bench, as it's part of the game same as the starting lineup, because in today's physical demanding football you need 15 players to win a game.
In summary, not giving credit for Flick managing with the current, available squad to lead LaLiga and beating teams like Atletico who were on a 7 games win streak and just recently beat last year's CL finalist, is because of bias, not rational opinion.
