Apparently, deal is currently stalled due to disagreements between the player's camp (both agent and his dad) and Ahly.
Since it is a loan deal, and that he has a contract until 2027, Ahly wants him to renew it for another year (Initially they wanted 3 years) as a backup plan in case Barca doesn't buy him, so they will have him under 2 years contract. Barca themselves understand and think it is fair.

Initially his camp was ok, but after Ahly and Barca agreed the deal, his agent is now refusing to do it. A bit silly IMO.

The Cancelo deal is also currently delayed so it may be to do with our ffp and registrations until an exit.

Abdelkarim would indirectly reduce our A sides ffp cap which is still precouriously balanced and out of 1:1 despite the VIP seats surely being applied now we're back at Camp Nou.

Basically we are frozen until Stegs is wage dumped and/or Christ is re-registered (which we don't really want to do unless necessary as it will negatively impact 26/27).

Al Ahly are holding up deal with Hamza, Cancelo deal is not being held up for any other reason than to not distract from Supercopa Final - presentation already planned for tomorrow

Lots of rumours yesterday that the deal stalled. Fairly reliable sources here saying it is done deal and it's only some red tape in his work permit and visa processing in Spain that is the reason it isn't announced (which happens a lot with Barca B signings).
