This loss was much needed..It came at the start of the tournament is a blessing in disguise for spain. Next game the lineup should be

------------------Villa--------------------

Iniesta----------Cesc-------------Koke

-----------Busi---------Alonso-----------

Alba--------Pique--------Ramos-----Juanfran---

----------------De Gea--------------------

People will say that other factors also influenced this, but:
-- first we had Barca, then Pep's Bayern, and now Spain

More and more top teams each Season are capable of winning against Tiki-Taka.
Everyone learned how to defend and how to score against Tiki-Taka.

That is not a coincidence.

the last few spain matches have been dire... the Barca fall from dominance... the time where Barca/Spain play teams off the park without breaking a sweat, is over.

They're still a good side... but nowhere near as good as they once were.

Except this Spain side, has among others, Real and Atletico players who had the best season of their lives. Spain is not Barca. Or at least it shouldn't be.

One thing is certain, Im following van Gaal's Man United next season.
+1 I was thoroughly impressed.

Spain can qualify, but lets be serious, with this game they can't win the trophy.

Though it would "1954 style" fun to see a Spain-Holland total shit final with Iniesta scoring for 1-0 in 88 or 89 and taking the trophy after the most boring game in history.

They have to change things up. Not much they can do with Pique and Ramos except hope they play better.

De Gea for Iker right now. That was some shitty goal keeping.

Koke for Alonso. Pedro for Xavi. Villa or Fabregas for Costa.

De Gea
Aspi-Pique-Ramos-Alba
Koke-Busi
Pedro-Silva-Iniesta
Fabregas.

Shake it up a bit. This was embarrassing.
Azpi was useless!!!

De Gea
Juanfran-Pique-Ramos-Alba
Koke-Busquets
Silva-Fabregas-Iniesta
------Pedro-----------

Pedro and Fabregas interchanging throughout the match.

You might have a point there.
