Upgrade

They do this because they don't want to pay up and Dollarumma can get himself a raise and signing bonus elsewhere.

They believe they've gotten an upgrade.

50m dropped on arguably the most hyped GK prospect in Europe last season. You don't do that for someone you believe is vastly inferior just to save a couple of millions every year.

Dunno, that French lad didn't look that impressive on reels. Probably some combo of them wanting new blood and Dollarumma being a greedy cunt.

Although for all the shit Stegen got for his CL performances Donnarumma was probably worse overall.

Both Donnarumma and ter Stegen has had only one good season in that competition.
Donnarumma last season and ter Stegen 10 years ago. Although Donnarumma has made more blunders that's cost them games I guess.

It's easy to be ruthless with money behind you.

But when you got no money, you become a meme.

Been comparing Chevalier and Joan a bit of late since we were linked to both, and I think Joan Garcia is a better keeper btw. And for much less.

Let's see if proven right this year.

So you are telling me a big name goalkeeper (who won a treble a couple of weeks ago) leaves the club without trying to harm them or demanding future salary after they tell him they want him to go because they bought another goalkeeper?

They don't call him Dollarumma for nothing. Remember how he left Milan.

He wanted a huge wage increase, they said enjoy the stands and then instantly spent 50m on a replacement.

PSG isn't about logic. It's about a tiny island no one knew anything about, showing the world that "daddy, we can wear big man pants too".

Decent what? He is doing worse than Ter Stegen, trying to manipulate the club that gave him everything for more cash, and that is the wealthiest club in Europe. Imagine when such club gets mad from their demands.

PSG didn't play around, they signed a GK who deemed even better, and told him they are comfortable of making him sit the whole season, which will diminish his bonuses next year and might make clubs hesitates to pay him what he wants.

He is looking for himself, if a club is willing to give him what he wants, agreeing a deal with PSG doesn't hurt him.

It is shitty thing, and has zere relation of the Situation with Marc

As far as I understand he accepted leaving after the club told him that they want that without any demands like paying the rest of the contract. He will leave on a normal transfer somewhere else.

How is he doing worse than Mats?.

It's slightly different because other clubs are interested in him, while few want mats.

But he isn't hanging on and not letting go like mats and a few others in recent history.
