Koemans downfall was sitcking with 352 and putting Pique in position FDJ played.

FDJ played it on front foot and to be brave looking to go win ball early and step in midfield.

Pique plays it to step back into space to avoid situations he may have to defend one on one and too slow immobile to step into midfield.

Those two changed the whole dynamic of the set up and teams learned to shut off middle of park and wait to attack the three CBs with runners into the box.

Sooo, after we half-assed the rebuild last summer (and I agree that we needed to keep some pragmatism then), can we finally go after the big fish? Roberto and Pique should be gone. Busquets, Alba and Messi at least performed. They didnt.
