But those signings, would push others to the bench, which would add real depth.

Jota, Nunez, Elliott, Kelleher are leaving. We'll lose some depth. We sell very well though so we'll definitely make some money.

We'll probably sign some cheap, young high potential gems to be the deputy players on the bench.

Mamardashvili was signed last season and will join this season. He's too good to be a backup GK honestly.

Gyokeres has been considered by the club but seems like Edwards loves Ekitike.

Edwards and our analytics team wanted Isak way before he was hot but Klopp requested specifically for Nunez and the club went for it because Edwards wasn't around anymore(he kinda fell out with Klopp).

Ekitike's profile is much closer to Isak so it makes a lot of sense. Also his age and profile is exactly what FSG likes to go for.

Gyokeres never played in a top 4 league and is 26. Major red flags with that one. Ekitike is more complete, skillful and versatile. Like I said, closer to Isak in style.

Just to play devil's advocate for a moment.

He's really good and I like him a lot (and maybe this is a lazy comparison) but...whisper it...might he not live up to expectations like a Havertz didn't? The boy Kai was raved about before going to Chelsea and now at Arsenal he's seen as at best decent and at worst a donkey.

I mean I think Wirtz is definitely more talented than Havertz, but could he disappoint when he leaves Leverkusen?

I just hope wirtz doesnt go to PL-clubs. It is a waste of talent and he is wasting his opportunities. In the end he will join bayern or real, if they decide he is their new galactico

100 percent he is not going to be worth whatever he costs. You always have to put an asterix on a Bundesliga attacking player. Let's not forget one of the biggest memes of the last few years was a star there ( Timo Werner ).

Not seen a lot of Wirtz, but what I have seen he looks slow in his movements. Seems to need that extra second on the ball. The extra second he won't get in a top league.

I always preferred Wirtz to Musiala, more so because he’s cule, but I can’t see it happening - even if the financial aspects were not exorbitant. Sporting wise he’s not really a DM and I don’t think he could inherit Frenkie’s role either - he’s more of a Fermin/Olmo attacking midfielder, but can start deeper

I think he has great footballing character, shows up in big matches…just won’t happen

Yeah, I agree - it’s not a need position but no question I do not see a Havertz situation with him

He has exactly the kind of profile I would’ve loved to see at Barça but I got over Echeverri so I will have to on Florian as well. Liverpool would hit better than some other destinations
