Miguel Galán, president of Transparency and Democracy in Sport, is back at it. He has filed a complaint with the CSD (Spanish Sports Council) against LaLiga president Javier Tebas for publicly disclosing Barça's accounts. The CSD, which initiated the disqualification proceedings against Ángel María Villar and Luis Rubiales, believes Tebas has committed "five serious infractions" for breaching the duty of confidentiality. The CSD will study the case to determine whether it should refer it to the TAD (Spanish Sports Council) for a verdict after investigating the matter.
According to the newspaper 'As', Galán has drafted a 50-page document in which he seeks to defend the rights of Barça members in the face of the alleged inaction of the Blaugrana Board of Directors, which has not filed any complaints and, for now, maintains cordial relations with Tebas despite the ongoing problems with player registration.
The reasons for the complaint date back to the Olmo-Pau Víctor case, in which LaLiga issued a series of statements. Specifically, the employers' association issued one on April 2, reporting that the Blaugrana club was breaching the salary cap and stating that Barça had failed to timely register the sale of VIP seats, which would earn it €100 million. Barça reacted immediately, accusing Tebas of breaching his duty of confidentiality, and LaLiga removed the statement from its website.
Galán claims that Barça has never previously revealed this information, so it was LaLiga that made it public. He also highlights the meeting between LaLiga and the Athletic Club president during the Nico Williams case, in which financial information about Barça was revealed that could have prevented the winger's move to Barcelona.
The complaint seeks to take its final course with the disqualification of the current LaLiga president, Javier Tebas, over this issue.
Yeah, won't happen but at least someone is defending Barca's interests while that president clown is doing who knows what.
