We're probably still fucked for another summer.

We move in to Camp Nou at the end of 2024 so that should be a small boost. Will be at limited capacity though.

We'll probably be selling some players, not buying any players (even not bringing free transfers) and be relying La Masia more than ever.

We still have 40% rule. We will most likely sell players and get cheaper options. CDM will be signed at least.
Though, we still have to register Roque.

I'm keeping my expectations real low.

If we are able to register our current players and get a good CDM, I would consider that a good transfer windows.

The article says that the sums include all deferred wages from Barto days. Then it makes sense that the figures are still very high if those debts are included. I read that the huge payments to Messi carry out until 2025 included.

La Liga has announced the updated salary cap for clubs after the winter transfer market. Barcelona’s current cap is 204M (down from 270M), and according to UEFA’s squad expenditure figures, the club exceeds it by 300 million, ranking second in Europe in terms of wage bill (505M) after PSG. According to Carles Molins of SPORT, the reason behind Barcelona still having these numbers is explained by the deferral of many contracts during the pandemic, as reported by Adrià Soldevila on ‘Cadena SER’. The precarious economic situation due to the pandemic, which hit FC Barcelona hard, forced the club to delay some payments to players, payments that continue to this day.

This includes players like Messi, Jordi Alba, Busquets, and also Frenkie de Jong, among others. Nikola Mirotic is also part of the picture. That’s why payments to former players are still included in the club’s wage bill, and despite the departure of these players and many others with high salaries, Barcelona still struggles with this issue.

The club is only going to start to get back on track after every player from Barto's huge-contracts days is out of our books completely. As I understand, their deferred wages are still gonna be paid for a couple of years more.

It doesn't help that the paper levers didn't give us actual Fiat.

And the only Lever that come through reduces our yearly income by 40m or so.

Need to ride it out, sell a few big name players, and be conservative until we return to Camp Nou.

And then watch it all blow up again when the socis elect another fraud.
Sell 49% of the club.

The current salary fund is 505 million euros.

We are in second place after PSG (529 million euros).

I estimate that we pay 55% to players who are not currently at the club.

Busquets, Messi, Alba, etc.

Yes!!! More than a club! In fact, only Pique forgave the club's debt.

It includes the total expenditure of the club. Deferrals, but also Basketball sector, handball, futsal, roller hockey and womens football expenditure.

Income has dropped immensely moving away from Camp Nou and the 40m less TV rights income thanks to its lever.

Madrid salary cap is amazing business by Florentino. But he gamed the system with their Stadium rebuild and funding it through "income" recorded due to a lever in itself.

But yes, generally a way better run institution than ourselves.

So, the former vice-president of Barcelona also warned in his conversations with Bartomeu that Messi’s desires would provoke a huge increase in salaries.

Messi wrote letters to Bartomeu not to touch his salary and Suarez's salary.

Messi, receiving HUGE MONEY, demanded a VIP box from the club for himself, his family, Suarez and his family. (Suarez himself confirmed this with words - this is normal).

Messi was a franchise player. But obviously the bigger issue was that Bartomeu had both no foresight nor backbone.

You can't sell Neymar for 222m yet leave the club in financial ruin a few short seasons later.
