- Apparently Fanatics and Investindustrial had withdrawn their offer of 200 million euros for BLM, after Laporta's claims that it was undervalued (which by his estimate should be above 300 million).

The negotiations for the partial sale of BLM have stalled. An agreement is far away. Bar?a only want to sell the division for a period of time, while the interested companies want the asset forever. — @mundodeportivo

Who knows what's true but yeah, we should definitely insist on having a buy back for BLM, not sell it permanently

It was a shambles the way they used the Neymar money.

Gave Messi a huge signing bonus of 80m plus and a massive salary and signed players with huge amortised costs even if the players were a success would have been too much.

Would be willing to bet better run clubs such as Liverpool would use the Neymar profit to write down some of the costs on their new players in that situation... So they sign a player for 140m but say 70m or more of that is covered from the Ney profit on the books and leaves less amortised costs going forward.

Then compound it with an ageing squad they were shit scared of upsetting and pay too much money as know the power those legendary players had..

Cant ever repeat having as high amortised costs as that even if have big sales, cant ever repeat grossly overpaid contracts to extent players had/have, need a layer in club that is a barrier to short term thinking that all presidents a more or less are guilty of..that could be external investment having a say and make sure club have some kind of insurance in place to mitigate these global situations in future.

What i like the most about the whole Neymar money mess is that they already failed two 120M+ transfers and as a solution they came up with signing Griezmann (who also made a fucking movie about rejecting us before) for another 120M on a huge salary without even selling any expensive player to compensate for it.

Not that the other plan (signing Naymar back for even more money than Griezmann) would've been any better

Imagine selling a player for 222M and going broke because of it, Barto magic. Football history, we might never see something like that ever again.

We tried to sign Neymar after Griezmann

Not Barto's fault that PSG rejected 250m for him

Yeah, 2Playbook also mentioned that those two wanted to take over the whole Barca Corporate package, probably at a discount price that we are not willing to budge.

We shouldn't sell it if the terms are bad (value-wise and also if there is no buyback etc.).

Eduard Romeu has been talking to the press last couple of days and seemed to suggest they have a deal in place they can sign for Barca Studios soon before the end of the month if approved by the socis tomorrow.

Also seemed to suggest they'd rather avoid selling television rights.

Said that if they get what they want they'll be out of the 1/3 rule and can operate as normally.

We'll see though.

Don't know why people even bother replying to Messigician and his dead Bartomeu support schtick.

My impression reading all the bits and pieces of his interview is that tomorrow's meeting will give the club the OK to sell them (49% of the BLM and up to 25% of future TV rights), without any specifics and they will do so IF and once they have a deal in place. The article from 2Playbook seems to suggest that we might not be able to reach any deals and sell anything before June 30th, meaning we will have a hole of 150m in red for 2021/2022.

Barca Studios won't get much money, initially we were only looking for 50m.

Personally I'd selling 49% of BLM for 200m as long as we have a buyback and will not sell any TV rights. But I think they will sell the TV rights as Romeu talked about if we get 500m or so we can do signings etc. No way will they be able to get 500m without selling future TV rights.
